"Like its retail games, the Wii’s downloadable titles on WiiWare often get a bad rap. The two line ups are very similar; though there is an overwhelming glut of undesirable titles, a batch of quirky, unique and fun games exist below the surface."

The last article by Jim Sterling I posted here on Grep seemed to have come with mixed response. I now give you something new that I think we can all agree on... the cheapness that comes with some games trying to make you play for more than necessary.

"There are a couple hundred registered users here, so I figured that I'd give you guys a chance to respond via the comments section and name your top 5 games from last year. Sure, I'm a little late to that party, but by now you've all had time to sit back and contemplate your picks. You don't have to give reasons behind your top 5 (although you can), just list them like this!"

"We're just fiending for Santa crap around this time of year so why don't more game companies take advantage of our sentimentality with special DLC? Here's five pieces of downloadable content we'd love to see next December"

The top 20 WiiWare titles for the US as of the 10th of December. The results are based upon what is currently the highest selling, not over time.

World of Goo is doing well for itself, continuing to take top spot. This is followed by the new of the old classic Tetris Party. In third place is My Aquarium, a WiiWare title which at first didn't look to be popular and suffered from negative speculation.

The top ten video game baddies, marvel in their wickedness! See classics such as Dr. Eggman and Bowser, stare at Wario the overweight evil brother.

Though it's a real nice find to see Gruntilda Winkybunion from our beloved Banjo-Kazooie series get in at first! Followed by Final Fantasy VI character Kefka Palazzo and Ganondorf in third from the Legend of Zelda series.

"When Mega Man 1 came out for the NES, one could understand the complete lack of originality in the names of the bosses. As Mega Man 1 was the introduction to this great series, it was appropriate that the basic elements were represented as bosses in these games. After Mega Man 1 though, there was Mega Man 2 and 3 with some of the most innovative bosses in the series. Who could forget the likes of Gemini Man and Snake Man who both made our “Top Ten Bosses from the Mega Man series” list. After ..."

"Now that Mega Man 9 is here in all of its archaic, old school glory, we find ourselves spending those spare moments between loudly uttered curses of frustration pondering on the glories of Mega Man games past. Before the series spun off in various directions to incorporate Maverick Hunters, Battle Networks and the letter X, the basic mold of fighting a series of bosses and then using the powers of the fallen to defeat those that remain hung on for a full eight games before tapering off, only ..."

Pelaajalehti.com recently held a poll for their people to decide the most beautiful video games of all time. Not all of the top ten received a warm welcome, with people believing many voters just chose their favourite or latest hype as opposed to the most beautiful games.
