It had to happen, with EA recently announcing sequels to pretty much all their franchises which debuted this year Pandemic have gone down a similar route. With John Riccitiello of the company saying there will be a Mercenaries 3. However he adds, that they won't stop there but take the series up to 10 he if has anything to do with it.

The demo for the sandbox game titled Mercenaries 2: World in Flames is now available for the PC. The game is a sequel to Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction and was developed by Pandemic Studios.
