"Since there are literally hundreds of thousands of games out there, it’s no easy task for lead characters to make a lasting impression on the player. Once in a while however, you'll come across a leader that's different. Somehow, that character manages to set himself apart from the others."
"While the women in fighting games tend to get the most attention for being considered "sexy", their cousins in the action genre are out shooting it up and exploring boundaries well beyond the confines of a ring. Just because these characters are rendered in more than bikinis doesn't mean they're not sexy.
The action genre has been dominated by male characters since the creation of gaming. But there have been a few exceptions to the rule of sexes. And of course, these female exceptions have..."
Although it may not have the strongest development support, the PSP still managed to put out some great exclusive games throughout the first five years of its lifespan.
"The final product is astounding, the look, feel & sound of a Metal Gear product is all there. Despite the lack of a true blockbuster feel, you know the kind that costs around $40,000,00, Metal Gear Solid: Philanthropy is the greatest fan made movie I have ever seen. I strongly urge you to watch this, and then get over to the comment section and tell them what a great job they did. It has taken years, literally, but they kept at it and now it’s done."
"Today, we're putting that rumor to rest and compiling our list of the best games the PSP has to offer you at this very moment. These are the games we think are the most fun to play. These are the ones we find our handhelds getting drawn toward. These are the ones that make train rides to work and the horrible TV shows our significant others watch tolerable.
These are the Top 25 PSP Games of All Time."
"With releases on just about every platform from the past twenty years, numerous sequels, remakes and non-canonical spinoffs, Metal Gear is one of the most prolific and longest-living series in gaming. It paved the way for stealth gaming in general, and in particular, broke ground for tech-stealth games like Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell and Syphon Filter. It's impossible to do justice to such a wide-ranging experience in so few words—that this history can only hope to scratch the surface is a te..."
"Available from March 27th, the new compilations retain their original packaging, but are twinned in a special slip cases for just £19.99. The first two pairings will be Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops with Silent Hill Origins, and Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops alongside Coded Arms."

A Turkish man has escaped a prison in western Germany by making use of the tried and true Solid Snake method of using a cardboard box. There is now a manhunt taking place to recapture the clever escapee.
Someone on XMBonline believes that not everyone can review a Metal Gear Solid game. He/she believes that the review for Eurogamer did not appreciate the 'core value' of the franchise and believes the negatives(long loading cutscenes) are more of a 'blessing than a curse'. He/she says that only hardcore gamers should be able to review it properly in their perspective, rather than a casual gamer.
"Here’s a joke: Did you hear the one about Uwe Boll directing a movie version of the acclaimed video game series “Metal Gear Solid”? So did Uwe Boll – only he’s not laughing.
“This was an absurd story,” Boll told MTV News about how his name got attached and then removed from a cinematic adaptation. “Two French guys wrote a script, said they are from Konami hired to write the script, said ‘You wanna direct it?’ I read the script, I liked the script. I said, ‘Yes, I can do it.’”
A quick deal..."
In a recent interview with IGN, Hideo Kojima discussed Metal Gear Solid 4 (naturally). Same old, same old, right? Kotaku thinks not! They found a very interesting little paragraph in which Kojima mentions his son's reactions to the Metal Gear Solid games. And, well, his words aren't exactly kind.
"Video games have a long tradition of creating tough-as-nails protagonists that fight hordes of oncoming enemies. Still, few have been able to elevate themselves to true badass status. Sam Fisher and Solid Snake are two characters that have been known for years for their ability to strike fear into enemy NPOs and let gamers unleash their inner Special Ops soldier. However, there is only room at the top for one badass to rule them all. Myarcadeplanet is putting that power in your hands. Its..."
"Twenty years ago, a bandana-rocking badass stepped onto the Nintendo Entertainment System and went to work on bringing down some bad guys at Outer Heaven. His name was Snake, and the videogame world would bow to his presence.
Well, they eventually would. After a couple sequels, Snake receded into the background of gaming culture. While the world moved on, Snake rested. Snake waited.
In 1998, Metal Gear Solid shipped for the PlayStation and turned the industry on its head. Sequels ..."
For those of you who have no idea what this PSP game is about watch this trailer to enlighten yourself a little more. Featuring scenes of a Young Snake as well as an Old Snake, this game has a few surprises set in store for you, especially the last part that brings the question as to whether Kojima and gang are finally starting to crack up.

Konami have decided to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Metal Gear in style by opening up this new page on their official website, and I have to say it's looking pretty good! The Metal Gear series has had success on all these different platforms, so it deserves to be recognised.
When it looked as if Portable Ops couldn't get much better, Konami decide to drop on us the first official online tournament! Is this going to be a huge success, or a complete flop? Only time will tell. Hopefully this will do well for Konami - they've definitely developed a great game series here! :D
"Like a crack dealer dangling his wares at the playground gates, Konami has revealed it's offering PlayStation Portable fans a tantilising whiff of its latest Metal Gear Solid title, Portable Ops, in demo form.
Already available for download via Sony's Your PSP website, the demo dishes out a teaspoon's worth of the full game's offline multiplayer mode. It's a one-map Deathmatch demo, where up to six players can rack up the points with judicious annihilation of their pals.
Just in case th..."
