"On Darius Burst, OXG writes:
What we’ve got here is the first original Darius since G. Darius hit the arcades back in 1997. Obviously, this is a pretty big release for shmup fans and reason enough for many to finally get a PSP. Luckily, Taito is showing that it is taking this series’ resurrection somewhat seriously as the company has enlisted the help of Kanetake Ebikawa and Takayuki Yanase, both responsible for the mech designs in Mobile Suit Gundam 00, and Zuntata’s Hisayoshi Ogura, a co..."

Consistently Gorgeous Presentation: The Metal Slug series has traditionally wowed with its amazingly detailed sprite work, its over-the-top animation and effects providing almost as much entertainment as the run and gun gameplay. Metal Slug 7 doesn't disappoint, with lovingly crafted characters, vehicles, bosses and backgrounds. It's a visual feast, even at such a tiny screen size.
Tried And True Gameplay: SNK Playmore may get some grief for not spicing up the Metal Slug recipe enou..."
At their conference at the Tokyo Game Show starting today, Microsoft has announced some games headed their way to the Xbox 360:
A look at the top ten most anticipated games before this Christmas by Pocket Gamer writer Damien McFerran - surely a good way to find yourself a new game for Christmas!
Each game is listed by name, developer, publisher, release and a game overview along with a nice explanation of why you'd want to buy it.
Lego Batman: The Videogame has topped the list while the latest game for the popular Dragon Ball series hasn't performed as well at ninth. Are you looking forward to these games for th...
Gameplayer has made their top ten list of Nintendo DS games for Christmas! Is it any surprise Lock's Quest is first after an article recently published by 1UP about their Nintendo DS Game of the Month.
Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood managed to make it onto the list at ninth, reflecting the worries that Sonic is dying.
Brand new games such as Dragon Quest IV and Spectrobes: Beyond the Portal also made it to the list but neither performed particularly well, with Dragon Quest IV c...
Yesterday, EDGE-Online was able to review Metal Slug 7, a run and gun video game that is always full of action! Besides the guns and grenades coming from all over the place, there are now bonus coins. All you have to do is a fill up a gauge, which allows you to kill the General's evil army for coins.
The game can get a little sluggish, especially when you hit the boss battles. EDGE notes that little annoyances are also present, like holes, which can send you into a earthly demise.

Once a game on multiple platforms, the Metal Slug franchise like many others has now gone to Nintendo, with the latest in the series - Metal Slug 7 - being developed exclusively for the Nintendo DS. With the game approaching its release date (November 18th 2008), be sure to look at the website if you're a Metal Slug fan.
SNK Playmore, developers of seemingly all the recent Metal Slug games are working on Metal Slug 7 for Nintendo's handheld.
Appropriately, seven new missions will be featured which will bring players to the likes of the Fortress of Ruins and Garbage Island. Six playable characters, new weapons, "colossal" new bosses, new Slugs to pilot and new gameplay modes make for one pretty sweet sounding package.
Metal Slug 7 is due out this autumn.
