"Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins and Metroid 2: Return of Samus are coming to the eShop in the UK via the Virtual Console service and will be available sometime this year. There is no confirmation on when these games will hit other regions, but that announcement shouldn’t be too far away."
There are a lot of great games that appeared on Nintendo's first handheld system the Game Boy. Nintendo recently announced that the 3DS would have a virtual console service where gamers could download Game Boy and Game Boy Color classics. Here are the games I would like to see show up on the 3DS' virtual console first.

Although not a name you would as much as associate with new age gaming, Yoshio Sakamoto, who after making his debut on Donkey Kong Junior, went onto making Kid Icarus and ofcourse, Metroid. Metroid is a series that has done nothing but moved from strength to strength since it's very first game back in 1986. IGN look into the depths of this fantastic series from Nintendo, and they look into how the series started.
