Three key developers from the fabled studio behind the Metroid Prime games have broken away and formed their own house. Mark Pacini, Todd Keller and Jack Mathews have already signed an exclusive publishing deal with EA and are set to work on new IP's. It's rumored they may be making games for the 360 or PS3.

"Nintendo has denied internet reports that the Metroid Prime Trilogy in its entirety is coming to Wii.


According to GoNintendo, a tipster claimed that the computer system of a retailer had a new Wii game listed as 'Metroid Prime Trilogy'.

Internet speculation jumped to the obvious conclusion that Metroid Prime 1, 2 and 3 were being repackaged as one and the GameCube games were being revamped for the console.

But speaking to CVG, Nintendo labelled the rumour as "Purely rumour and spe..."

Lead designer Mark Pacini, engineer Jack Mathews, and art director Todd Keller, who were all seniors of the company Retro Studios have moved one. These three people were some of the main people involved in bringing you the Metroid Prime Trilogy. The reason for them leaving is not yet known.

It is also rumored that the three may make their own development studio, but that is still up in the air and yet to be seen.
