Metroid Prime Trilogy

There's been some talk going around lately about the relationship between Nintendo and third party developers. An example being difficulty with hardcore third party titles. Lee Evans has posted a blog entry going over some facts and figures in an effort to shed some light on the matter and the severity of the situation.

"However, while the North American version of Metroid Prime Trilogy has been confirmed as, “No longer being shipped”, according to US Blog Coffee With Games, a representative from Nintendo UK informed Electronic Theatre that, “Metroid Prime Trilogy has not been discontinued in the UK” today."

After compiling All Age Gaming's choices for the 10 best PS3 and Xbox 360 games, All Age Gaming's John Elliott delves into the library of games available for the Nintendo Wii and selects his Top 10 Wii games to date. Found out his choices after the jump.

Nintendo is known for some of the best video game franchises in the history of the industry. This past decade saw the debut of many great new franchises from them.

BestBuy.com is offering several Nintendo Wii video games on sale this week at the best prices online or in stores. "Watch this video from ABC, it is perhaps one of the worst “Citizen Kane of Gaming” discussions ever. First off, I wonder if Micheal Thompson has “Video Game Expert” on his business card, and how one acquires such a title. The worst part of this entire production is that at first, it seems like ABC understood what Citizen Kane actually meant. They start out asking if there is “a game that does for gaming, what Citizen Kane does for film.” When they cut to IGN’s “Video Game Expe..."

All Age Gaming's Phong Nguyen bring's us the 10th AAG "The Week That Was". In this week's edition he talks about Xbox Live Arcade's sales, the PS3 Slim's success, the new free Wii Channel and more!

"Mana Khemia 2: Fall of Alchemy

Mana Khemia 2's developer, Gust, has a knack for creating item-crafting-heavy games that are actually fun to play. As it has been pumping out Atelier Iris games continually since 1997, the company has had a lot of time to refine its games' combat and synthesis systems. The first Mana Khemia, often considered the spiritual successor to the Atelier Iris series, can be seen as the culmination of all that Gust has learned over the years, at least when it comes to..."

With the extensive amount of pre-order bonuses being offered by Gamestop in North America, Nintendo is trying to promote the release in the UK by allowing players to download the original Metroid on the Virtual Console for free. The catch is that you have to be amongst the first 5000 people to register the game on Club Nintendo.

As if the sick box art and art booklet weren't enough for you to pick up the game, but Gamestop are also throwing in a pretty sweet t-shirt. But the bonuses don't stop there. Pre-order the game online and Gamestop will also give you a Metroid Prime Trilogy poster. Talk about throwing in everything but the kitchen sink.

"The Resumeplay staff was hit with a hard question this week to narrow down their all time favorite female character that you get control over at some point in a video game. Looks doesn’t have nothing to do with it (well, to a couple writers it does) its the attachment that the individual has to the character is what matters. Check after the break for the list of our favorite gaming girls."

"We just got sent the box art for the upcoming Metroid Prime Trilogy and, wow, it's really nice. Featuring a badass Samus-adorned metal case, the box art is about as cool and futuristic as the retooled Metroid Prime content located on its disc. In addition to the metal case, the Wii Trilogy will also include a "special Metroid Prime Trilogy artbook." Looks like Nintendo's managed to weasel out another $50 out of us, huh? We'd go on more about it, but then that would keep you from going into ou..."

Fans of the Metroid Prime games will be happy to know that Nintendo will be releasing all three games on a single disc. Not only do you get the convenience of having all three games on one disc, but Metroid Prime and Metroid Prime 2 Echoes, which were originally released on the Gamecube, will feature widescreen and 480p support along with motion controls a la Metroid Prime 3. However, the good news doesn't end there. The compilation will be released on August 24th for the price of a regular g...
