Now some of the largest retailer are removing these games from there store shelf's due to a large backlash.

The developers of Modern Warfare 2, Infinity Ward, has just released a patch to fix some of the hacks that were slowly destroying the multiplayer aspect of the game. For the most part, major hacks have been reduced with some minor ones still on the loose.

SEGA of America announced today two games from 2010 would be coming to the Games on Demand marketplace. Not to be outdone, Activision also released two games on demand.

The recently released Medal of Honor by EA isn't getting enough attention it seems, according to a Raptr report. The report claims that gametime of other FPS rivals Modern Warfare 2 and Halo: Reach actually increased during Medal of Honor's launch week.
Early gameplay reports from Raptr suggest that that Medal of Honor may have misfired in its initial week. Game-time with EA's newest FPS hasn't affected gameplay time with other popular first-person shooters.

According to Raptr, a social network that tracks numerous pieces of gameplay data, Halo: Reach was the top played title of September, doubling the amount of people who played Modern Warfare 2 in the same period. 2 million players played the Bungie's final Halo game compared to 900,000 for Modern Warfare 2.

According to a new report released today by Raptr, Halo: Reach has dethroned Modern Warfare 2 as the most played game on the Xbox 360. Yup folks, Treyarch's next installment to their Call Of Duty stockpile is fixed for release this November much like Modern Warfare 2 did last year. Call Of Duty: Black Ops has yet to have been seen, so nothing is actually confirmed as of yet but speculation links it to the Vietnam conflicts.

Xbox live has released information confirming what the new maps are called. This new map contains 3 new maps, Bailout, Storm and Salvage and two legendary Call of Duty: Modern Warfare maps Crash and Overgrown.
Infinity Ward have announced that there highly anticipated unique game, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, will be recieving the 1st installment of 2 downloadable Map Packs at the end of this month (30th March). The number of maps in this Map Pack are still to be confirmed.
Just a few months after its record-breaking launch on November 10, 2009, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has reached an unprecedented new milestone concerning unique users for the PC, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.
The two co-founders of Infinity Ward, the main development team behind the Call of Duty series, are suing Activision after being fired for insubordination on Monday.
If you haven't heard, Acitivision fired to upper ups at Infinity Ward by using a bouncer to force them out of the office. It was done because Infinity Ward wanted to do other plans besides COD and this upset Acitivision, greatly. More bad news for gamers who bought the PC version of Modern Warfare 2. This time around it is reported on the official Infinity Ward forum that there is a Trojan virus that is spreading with everyone that are on IW.Net Modern Warfare 2.

Last week Nintendo of America's Reggie Fils-Aime said that he believes New Super Mario Bros. Wii will outsell Modern Warfare 2 on a single platform.
Now that Modern Warfare 2 has been released, Reggie stated that he is not surprised at how many units have already sold, although he expects MW2 to have trouble maintaining high sales numbers while NSMB Wii will sell consisently for the next few years...

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is finally here, in a variety of different versions including the standard edition, the Hardened Edition and the Prestige Edition (which includes night vision goggles and a downloadable copy of the original Call of Duty). You thought no dedicated servers was bad, the PC version is getting shafted from a lot more features. In an interview between the Infinity Ward and fans, Infinity Ward revelead that the game will have no console commands, no controle over the host, no leaning, no way to kick hackers and no option to record matches. Wow. Even a few days before Modern Warfare 2's launch, Infinity Ward has managed to get even more fans mad. It has just been announced that the game will be capped at 18 players and Infinity Ward are also saying the petition for the dedicated server is a fake!

In a recent podcast, an Infinity Ward developer brought out the news that the PC multiplayer aspect of Modern Warfare 2 would rely heavily on it's matchmaking system. What's wrong with that, you may ask? The scrapping of dedicated servers, an option that players could use to set their rules, customization, etc.. Well it looks like Infinity Ward really has outdone their selves with Modern Warfare 2. The amount of upgrades that have been implemented in the online portion are jaw dropping. Now we are able to have more than pistols as our secondary weapon, upgrade perks, shoot down that pesky UAV, have customizable kill streaks, etc. I can only speak for myself, but I guarantee this game is going to destroy my free time.
At Infinity's Ward Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer event yesterday, a lot of things were announced. It was revealed that there will be a Modern Warfare 2 Xbox 360 Bundle, and within the press release statement made by Infinity Ward this morning, it was also revealed that Xbox Live users will get their hands on the new Modern Warfare 2 DLC maps first.

It looks like Activision did a number on some gamers and got there panties all in a bunch. To retaliate, many gamers over the internet are considering a boycott of Activision products. Some have started an online petition while others plan on pirating MW2. But as we all know, an online petition wont do much, there only hope is a successful boycott.

Following Activision's decision to raise the UK price of Modern Warfare 2 due to a "Weak Pound", they have now raised the price to $60 for PC. Modern Warfare 2 will release on all platforms November 10th.
