Today, the much anticipated Wii title Monster Hunter 3 hit the stores, and Famitsu dispatched staff to cover the various launches around Japan. This report had them at the Yodobashi Camera store in the electric town Akihabara, where a line of around 500 strong formed inside the store ready to purchase the newest game in one of Japan's more popular series.

This weekend in Japan was the 2009 edition of the New Generation World Hobby Fair, held at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan. The World Hobby Fair is for game makers and other hobby companies to showcase their goods to the public. Newssite Dengeki Online highlighted some of the game companies that made an appearance at the fair.
