"Renegade Kid’s co-founder and creative director, Jools Watsham, is a veteran of the industry, having worked previously on such games as NBA Jam and Turok 2: Seeds of Evil, and recently took the time to answer a few of our questions."

"It’s also the seventh day of Christmas which hails the seventh instalment of Electronic Theatre’s The Twelve Games of Christmas series, a twelve day long feature that aims to bring you the very best releases of 2009. We strive to give you a better idea of what to look out for in 2010’s January sales each day, and today is the turn of July 2009, and we look back to the height of the summer at what were the best titles available."

"Rising Star Games have become synonymous with those quintessentially Japanese videogame treats that otherwise may have never made their way to European shores. The sweet, inviting world of the classic Harvest Moon series and pleasing guilt involved in commanding your loyal (or perhaps, not so loyal) followers in Little King’s Story is regularly contrasted with the dark, grimy labyrinths of JU-ON: The Grudge or the under-appreciated Nintendo DS First-Person Shooter, Moon."

"In play, the game bears immediate resemblance to the Metroid Prime series. Utilising an almost carbon copy of the control scheme employed by Metroid Prime: Hunters, the game delivers a cinematic, up-tempo experience more comparable to the home console release in the series. Though divided into chapters, the whole of the game is presented as a linear story-based expedition, with an unfolding Map and staged plot delivery, via Metal Gear Solid-esque radio communication sequences. Back tracking, ..."

"Rising Star Games have released two UK trailers for Gamebridge’s forthcoming Nintendo DS exclusive, Moon. Although both trailers appear very similar, the shorter version provides a glimpse of a Boss battle not seen in the full length trailer. Don’t say we don’t spoil you."

"Renegade Kid obviously learned from their first title on the DS. Their sophomore title, Moon, addresses all of the problems that crippled Dementium, delivering an experience that shows a lot of polish and pushes the DS hardware to its limits. Moon not only looks incredible, but offers tight controls and an excellent story. All of these come together to create a compelling experience that any fans of the Action/Adventure genre are sure to enjoy."

"Hot off the release of last year's impressive DS adventure, Dementium: The Ward, Renegade Kid is back with a new first person game titled Moon. Published by Mastiff, the game casts you as Edward Scott Kane, the Chief Operational Officer of the Extra Terrestrial Encounter Organization sent to the moon to investigate strange goings on. After a mysterious alien force slaughters his peers, he embarks upon a journey full of puzzle solving and robot blasting."

Not a long list this week either, but the notable titles are really notable. The Lord of the Rings: Conquest has been getting a nice bit of hype; see if it lives up on PC, Xbox 360, PS3 or DS. The DS sci-fi adventure Moon comes out too -- check out Tainted's take on the game on his blog over here. Finally, there's the first-person parkour game most of us know and love coming for PC: Mirror's Edge.

New gameplay footage has popped up, titled "Alpha Base in Ruin". Here we see the player "scouring the base for anything unusual". Looks pretty good -- PocketGamer certainly seems to think so, as they note: "Graphical limitations? What graphical limitations?" If Metroid Prime Hunters did it, so can Renegade Kid!

"Pre-order your copy of Moon at GameStop.com, and check out the world premiere of the exclusive Moon trailer, "Blood Moon," which will first appear on GameStop.com on September 23rd, then be distributed to the rest of the gaming world on the evening of September 25th.

"With nothing on the radar for several months, we're a bit concerned about the state of DS of gaming. Sure there are lots of casual thingies popping out over the summer but, other than Final Fantasy sequels, what's a DS gamer to do past August? Well, our money's on Moon, the follow-up FPS to last year's impressive Dementium. Will it be a success? No telling just yet, but developer Renegade Kid has proven its technical ability so we're leaning towards the "probably" side.

We recently had an ..."
