Sony has kicked off a new sale this week for eleven of its top PSN titles, including Peggle and Costume Quest. The biggest bargain, tho? Motorstorm 3D Rift available for less than five dollars. Sweet.

Saturday on November 8th there seems to be a special one day Sony deals going on at Walmart. Some deals including buying a 80GB PS3 and get a free $100 Gift Card which you can get some games for free since you won't be using your money but the card. Sony Australia have announced that the 'Platinum' selection will be arriving on Monday for the Australian market and will come at the down under price of $49.95. The game developers conference will be here in a couple of weeks. Last year HOME and LittleBigPlanet were first showed off to the public. But what games will be at GDC this year. Two relatively minor updates were added to Motorstorm with this patch. The first simply lets you use a 2D grid, rather than a 3D one to select vehicles. The second change is quite a fun one! It mirrors all the tracks. This basically means that where you would normally turn left, you're gonna turn right! I don't know about y'all, but I'm getting Motorstorm back out again!

New patch is available for download for Motorstorm. This patch adds some new features, like color coordinated opponents/friends. Some vehicle select enhancement. The last vehicle you chose will come up first on your next round. The player stats will be improved. Voice communication has been improved. And now you are allowed to play coyote rage on online and time attack.

If you've seen the latest images and videos of the upcoming id Software game Rage, then you may have noticed the similarities of the game to the Playstation 3 Exclusive, and Super-Hit title, MotorStorm. Due to the recent success of the PlayStation 3 Starter Pack in Europe, Sony is planning to release another starter pack. The current starter pack comes with the PS3, 2 SIXAXIS controllers, Resistance: FoM and Motorstorm. The new starter pack will contain the PS3, 2 SIXAXIS controllers and two new games.

Sony today announced that their PlayStation 3 video game system will not be recieving a price reduction in PAL territories. Unlike Northern American gamers, who will recieve a price cut next month, European and Australian consumers will instead have a "Starter Pack" introduced in replacement of the current PlayStation 3 retail box.

"During its E3 2007 conference, Sony announced a new track for MotorStorm would be available for download next month.

Phil Harrison, head of Sony's worldwide studios, played the new track in front of the audience at the conference. Titled Eagle's Nest, the footage showed the familiar muddy canyons fans of the game have come to know. The race took Harrison over wooden tracks and ramps placed on the ground, and under wooden bridges.

The Updates for Motorstorm have been delayed numerous times for numerous reasons, and yet another delay is on it's way as Sony on their official blogs, told us that the new Time Attack mode will have to wait a bit longer, as a bug that had been found in the game, which has since been fixed, but testing has to be undertaken to make sure that the fix works.

"In the next couple of weeks" MotorStorm should be getting an update bringing it up to v1.2. It will be required to play online and should sort out quite a few issues that weren't addressed with v1.1. For the PS3's stand-out non-launch blockbuster, MotorStorm definitely shipped with a pretty lackluster online experience. Especially in comparison to Formula 1's integrated friends and online experience that works so well and actually shipped before MotorStorm.
