"EA noted that the reason these games are shut down is because they account for less than 1 percent of total traffic, and so that it frees up EA's IT staff to focus on games users are more actively playing.Earlier today, Electronic Arts purchased PopCap Games for at least $750 million, opening a new chapter in the Plants vs. Zombies and Bejeweled franchises. However, EA is also ending the era of multiple games, today announcing its plan to take a long list of games offline for good."
Microsoft Store is offering free NCAA Football 10 for Xbox 360 when you purchase Madden NFL 10 for Xbox 360. That's savings of more than 40% if you would purchase these items separately.
Lvlone.com reviews the latest NCAA Football game and raises an interesting debate on whether or not the college football franchise will steal some of the thunder from Madden NFL 2010 when it is released. TheBadMan from lvlone.com states his case as to why it very well may.
"It’s that time of year again! Football season is upon us, and this year’s college football game, NCAA Football 10 from EA Sports, brings some major improvements to the series, including the addition of trophies. While this may not seem like a big deal to a lot of gamers, it has never been implemented in an EA Sports football title before, and is a big selling factor. And the list of upgrades only starts there."
"Between cheerleaders and sportsmanship, who says EA Sports’ games are the same every year? With a new graphics engine and a series of revamped game modes, the only thing that seems to be missing from this year’s edition is the tailgate after party. Is NCAA 10 a college dropout or ready for the pros?"
"From the day it joined the EA Sports lineup, NCAA Football has always stood in the shadow of Madden NFL. For many, the game amounts to little more than a chance to warm their chops before Madden hits a few weeks later. It has also faced tough comparisons on the technical side, where players tend to consider it a more "dressed up" version of last year's Madden game, rather than the latest and greatest due for the upcoming season. Though the series may never completely escape this situation, NC..."
EA introduced microtransactions into NCAA Football 10 in the form of "dynasty accelerators" that not only boost offline play, but will also boost the player's teams in online leagues.
Is EA going too far in asking people to pay for a competitive advantage online?
"CFG – There’s no NCAA for the Nintendo Wii this year. Why?
BH – We decided to take a step back for a year and really take a look at what we can be doing with the Wii console and make a college football game on the Wii that really just blows people away. So it’s something we’re looking at doing in the future. No commitment yet on when we’ll be doing it again. But its something we are looking at jumping back into and really utilizing what the Wii can do to make a unique college football expe..."
"Budgets are tight, and this game comes out every year. You need to know if it’s worth it to drop the dough on the newest iteration.
Bottom line: yes it is. There’s so many improvements this year that I’m having a hard time squeezing them all in to this review. NCAA Football 10 has many substantive enhancements to both the on-the-field action and new gameplay modes.
On the field, you will find an additional layer of strategy with the game planning feature. It has 11 offensive and defensi..."

"NCAA Football loyalists can expect to drop some dough next Tuesday when NCAA Football 10 hits shelves - on top of the sticker price that is.
The much hyped (deservedly so) TeamBuilder mode, a new addition to the series that allows players to design teams from the comfort of their web browser, will require players to pay a fee if they want to download more than 12 TeamBuilder teams from EA's server. Assuming the player purchases the game new."
"With its potent combination of no school and dangerous UV rays, summer is a great time for gamers. In the past, very few good games would come out between mid-June and mid-September, but based on the wealth of great titles on deck, those days are officially gone. Take a break from the blazing sun and enjoy some serious play time with these ten terrific summer games."
When it was announced that Erin Andrews would be in the new NCAA Football 2010, we were told she would be featured in a new mode. As it turns out, she is in a renamed mode -- the old Legends mode is now being billed as the new Road to Glory mode.
It looks like they've beefed up Legends mode with some virtual news segments featuring your athlete and some of your game highlights. Sounds interesting, but the real question is if they beefed up the action on the field.

E3 2009 - EA has announced that the NCAA 2010 Team Builder web-based application has launched one month prior to the game. You can use this app to create schools, teams, uniforms, helmets, and players. All of your created schools, etc. will be transferable into the game.
"TeamBuilder brings back the popular Create-a-School and improves on it by allowing players to create and share their own content. Not only will you be able to create your own logos and customize uniforms, fields, rosters, you'll be able to upload these and share them with other players."
NCAA Football 2010 has a lot of cool features to look forward to like the recently disclosed adaptive AI, but there's no reason to skip on the sexy. Erin Andrews, who has been voted Playboy's sexiest sports broadcaster for a few years now, will be featured as the sideline reporter in NCAA Football 2010 and will be heavily featured in an undisclosed 'major game mode'.
