NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams

Many games for the Wii often go ignored and don't get the praise that they deserve. Though it may not seem like it, plenty of titles on the console are worthwhile adventures with great plotlines, artistic graphics, and engaging gameplay.

Despite some shovelware, the Wii is home to countless amazing exclusive titles. Such titles deserve follow-ups, yet not all of them have received an additional entry in their respective franchise. Here are five Wii games that could really use the sequel treatment.

It's another zany sales week in Japan, with DS and Wii sales shooting through the roof in a Nintendo-dominated top ten, and some weird and disheartening PSP sales.

There was a flip-flop at the top of the rankings, as this week's top seller was last week's #2, Mario Party DS, selling 180k units. The #2 seller is last week's #1, Wii Fit, with 124k units sold. Take note that this is a partial list. Most not...

"I’ve always wanted to make the sequel to the original NiGHTS, and we would love to bring NiGHTS to other platforms, however, the unique gameplay in NiGHTS and the innovative Wii controller seemed to be a perfect fit. It’s reminiscent of when we released the original NiGHTS with Sega’s 3D controller. That said…we can’t think about anything else but stay focused on creating a sequel that we hope you will all love!"
