"For those that have stopped their drooling, the N64Boy Advance is missing a D-pad, an AV port and a multi-controller port. As creator Hailrazer states in the video above, however, most of the popular tites on the system don't even utulize said D-pad, so that's one less thing to worry about. As for me, I don't have friends that want to sit that close to me for multiplayer sessions on a portable screen...at least I hope they don't."
"Looking back at days of old it's interesting to see where we started and how the evolution of consoles has changed from being dedicated videogame machines to the multimedia platforms we have today. Remember your first console or home computer, whether it was the Atari 2600 or the later generation Playstation, we all have a history of playing video games. Mine was the Commodore 64 a computer that would load games from audio cassette or floppy disks. In 1988 I would own my first cartridge based..."
In an amusing and not well thought out move by the European Parliament, they desire a "red button" on consoles for parents to be able to push when they see something "morally objectionable" in front of their kid's eyes. Amazing what can be done with a little injinuity, some electronic/technical know-how, and some spare parts from old video game consoles lying around the house.
A clever modder by the name of Matthew has managed to cram an old N64 into an NES case.
Awesome.
Sigh, remember back in the day when you and your buddies could hook up your Nintendo 64 during vacation bible school and play Goldeneye until all hours of the evening?
It seems with the rise of the internet - this is becoming less and less of a commonplace. Now you are meeting up online with people from other countries, let alone your friends.
And with the rise of how competitive gaming is becoming, you don't want to share any of your precious 1080p screen space.
We could all agree that the Nintendo 64 was a fantastic console. It featured some of the greatest games of all time, it introduced us to the modern console FPS, and it had the best multiplayer experience at the time. Because of this, its very hard to make a list of just ten top games. GameDaily has managed to do it. Do you agree with their choices?
