Miyamoto has stated that he wants to streamline the Zelda experience, and the remake of Ocarina of Time for the 3DS provides an opportunity for just that. While Ocarina of Time is one of the most beloved games of all time, it isn't without flaws, and this article explores a few different changes that Nintendo can make in order to "improve upon perfection".
"Zelda and charity – our two favorite things, combined into one. And where else does this sort of glorious combination occur other than a gaming marathon? Which is why we’re here to remind you that Zeldathon begins today, and the team running through our favorite franchise is raising money for the American Cancer Society along the way."
Nintendo is apparently remaking The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for their new handheld, Nintendo 3DS. The first screens of the game have appeared.
"Hey, everyone. We just wanted to let you know that Dec. 31 was the last day that The Hero of Time was available for viewing. We came to an agreement with Nintendo earlier this month to stop distributing the film."
A guy made a video on YouTube doing what I remember GameTrailers did quite a while ago, explaining the Zelda timeline. This guy did a complete job imo, very well done, and should be watched. However, he has received a response from Nintendo about this timeline saying.. there is no timeline. I've included the original video and the response in the quote.
"Recently listed on cragslist is a 1978 Ford Fairmont, paint with the map from the original Zelda. You may have seen this bad boy before as it has appearing in tons of online places like Digg and various news sites as well as in print with August 2005 issue of Nintendo Power.
The car is in good general condition, engine runs well and has low mileage (110k miles). I am selling her because we bought a new Prius and just havent needed her since then. I bought her from a friend of the family i..."
"The times may change, but the legend remains: A dark wizard, a princess in peril, and an emerald-clad boy as the kingdom's only hope. Like all great fables of times long past, the story of Link has changed much over the years, retold in a new way for each coming generation, but timeless nonetheless. It's a legacy few other franchises can equal, and these 22 years have elevated Link to stand among the upper echelon of video game royalty.
That kind of legacy means walking a delicate line; co..."
"A birthday cake my parents have made me from scratch based on my obsession. Between The Sage of Light cake that I have gotten today, September 18th 2008 for my 17th birthday and the Master Sword replica I got last year after I got my Junior Cert. results I think I might be part Hylian."
Amazon has created a product page for a new book titled The Legend of Zelda and Philosophy, which is being edited by Luke Cuddy. The Legend of Zelda and Philosophy is the latest book to enter the "longrunning Popular Culture and Philosophy series."
The publisher of the book believes it will answers many questions about the Zelda series, ranging from seeing Hyrule as an ideal society to considering Zelda art.
Hot off of the Mario Marathon last month, they are at it again. The Mario Marathon team will be partnering up with Cameron Banga and the Four48 Team in bringing you a marathon gaming session of the seven console Zelda titles, from the original classic Legend of Zelda to the newest Zelda title, Twilight Princess. The group will be soliciting donations, with all proceeds going towards Penny Arcade's Child's Play Charity, which buys toys and video games to children's hospitals across the count...
Apparently, the highly acclaimed Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time was going to be a first-person perspective game, so they could "spend more time and machine power on creating enemies and the environments." It really makes you wonder if it still would have been such a great game. They decided to go ahead and use bits and pieces from the storyline in Link's Crossbow Training, a third-person/first-person shooter.
The Legend of Zelda series has often been regarded as being one of the most epic and groundbreaking series of all time. The original Legend of Zelda for the NES introduced us to the dungeon-crawling formula, while later games for the SNES and N64 refined the gameplay, controls, and graphics. The N64 entry, Ocarina of Time, is often debated as being the greatest game of all time. (it holds an average review score of 99% on Media Critic)
GameDaily takes a look back at the ten greatest Zel...
Nintendo is arranging some form of Zapper demo using a Zelda mini-game called Zelda Crossbow Training. Could this be the Zelda that was said to be in the works, and is this one game or is it going to be a mini-game collection? Believed to use the Twilight Princess engine, the demo was shown off to GameStop managers in Las Vegas today.
Indisputable proof that democracy doesn't work; Zelda: Ocarina of Time is, according to readers of Edge magazine and industry experts, the greatest game of all time.
The article discusses the process by which this was decided, and other games that made the shortlist.
The Legend of Zelda will need to change if Nintendo want it to continue being successful inside and outside Japan. Twilight Princess did not do very well because it was not difficult enough compared to other Zelda games. Now in this article there is 4 ways to improve the next Zelda game and if Nintendo do implement them it could actually be the perfect RPG to be ever made.
The four ways Zelda can be improved is to change the setting first of all. Being always in Hyrule has gotten boring f...
"According to an official Nintendo press release, 1985s Super Mario Bros. has proven the most popular title release to date, followed by Super Mario 64, Mario Kart 64, Super Mario World, and The Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina Of Time. Meanwhile, the Kyoto-based giant says that 4.7 million downloads have been purchased since the Virtual Console kicked into action on November 19 last year."
