"Some games don’t get sequels, no matter how patiently we wait. We didn’t get another ICO, we didn’t get another Final Fantasy VII (though many of us are still hoping for a remake), and after playing Okamiden, the long-awaited handheld offshoot to one of Capcom’s most remarkable properties, gamers will find themselves waiting some more."

"I'm only a few hours in at this point, but I think it's safe to say that this game largely lives up to the legacy of its predecessor - it's got about the same level of difficulty, although I'd probably rate it as slightly easier; it makes excellent use of the brush skills; it's got bosses that test your mastery with the brush in a similar manner. However at the tail end of the interview he stated that "I think it would be interesting to bring it to the Nintendo 3DS". A while ago there rumors that Okamiden was going to arrive on the 3DS but nothing more was heard, so is there still hope?

"If you enjoyed Okami, there’s little chance you won’t enjoy Okamiden based on what I’ve played so far. It’s incredibly similar, but loses little of the wonder and enjoyment that made the first game such a great experience."

"The set comes in a nice sturdy cardboard box made to look like the lacquer boxes found in the game. Inside is a retail copy of Okamiden, a novel, a soundtrack and DVD set, a plush Chibiterasu and Okamiden branded in-ear ear buds. Because this is the e-Capcom version, a Celestial Brush stylus and screen cloth are also included."
