The 3rd Birthday is one of the most beautiful titles on the PSP. Some have even argued that it could have been made into a PS3 title. Does that mean the game is worth buying? Check out the full review.

"This is not Parasite Eve III. Yes, it looks a whole lot like Parasite Eve, it has nasty gooey Parasite Eve-looking monsters, it does the Parasite Eve action-game-meets-RPG thing, and it stars a leggy blonde named Aya Brea, just like Parasite Eve. But it is not Parasite Eve III, and the Square Enix legal department resents the implication."

The Entertainment Software Rating Board has released a rating summary for the upcoming The Third Birthday, detailing the game’s partial nudity, strong language and more.

Check out the newest episode of Big in Japan with Richard Eisenbeis. He explains the history of Parasite Eve and how it is similar and different from its spiritual successor, The 3rd Birthday. For the full review go to GameZone.com

The 3rd Birthday is an upcoming game for the PSP that continues the Parasite Eve saga. The game will combine shooting, action, and RPG elements and star Parasite Eve's Aya Brea. How is the title shaping up thus far?

"Critical Gamer writes: Square-Enix are returning to the Parasite Eve canon in the form of The 3rdBirthday on the PSP. A spin-off of sorts, it’s a third person over the shoulder shooter set in the near future, featuring our familiar heroine Aya Brea. The 3rd Birthday was one of the most impressive portable demos on show at TGS, looking and controlling great on Sony’s portable."

It turns out that things aren't just great for PSP owners because a slew of good games are heading their way, but also now Square Enix has announced a system rewarding gamers who choose to play more than one of their upcoming titles...

"Aya Brea, pictured right, is the main character of The 3rd Birthday. She's a federal agent in New York. Once an FBI agent, she's now a part of CTI. That's Counter Twisted Investigation.

Aya is not all that skilled in combat, but because she's the only person capable of using Overdive, she's been tasked with wiping out the Twisted, strange creatures who've invaded Manhatten. Using Overdive, Aya turns herself into a spiritual existence that can board and take control of the bodies of other p..."

While I think Square Enix are getting kind of greedy to be forcing people to buy a book to learn info about their titles I'm sure most fans won't matter. On Amazon Japan a second Cloud book is up, to be released on December 12th, already announced to be packed with screenshots, art and info on all the games and products mentioned below. Let's hope its actually something substantial this time, rather than the tiny fragments we usually get.

Yes the impossible has happened, someone has actually managed to sneak a video out of the Square Enix closed Mega Theater and live to tell the tale. The bootlegger caught footage of Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days, Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep, The 3rd Birthday and even a bit of Dissidia on tape, so sit down and have a watch if you have even a passing interest in any of these titles. Download them if you want to keep them, Square Enix will likely go on a crusade to make sure the public continues...

The latest issue of Famitsu has revealed some small details on Square Enix's newest game Parasite Eve 3: The 3rd Birthday. For fans worried about Square Enix's recent failed attempt to get into the Third-Person Shooter genre, project director Hajime Tabata ensured that the game won't be like their recent flop Final Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cerberus.
We can only hope the gameplay goes back to Parasite Eve's classix mix of RPG and Third-Person Shooter.

Square Enix have released a truck-load of screenshots from all their newest games: Final Fantasy XIII. Final Fantasy Versus XIII, Parasite Eve 3: The 3rd Birthday, Final Fantasy: Dissidia, Final Fantasy XIII: Dissidia, the various new Kingdom Hearts games, and so on.

Most of them have already been seen in low-quality magazine scans, but some (namely the wedding shots from Parasite Eve) are 100% brand spankin' new.
It sure is strange seeing tomboy Aya in a wedding dress!

Gamers that've been looking to get their console Parasite Eve on for awhile now (ten years if you exclude the sequel, as some loyalists would), are in luck..kinda. The 3rd Birthday was announced for mobile phones some time ago, a spin-off from the PE series which features, to some extent anyway, series heroine Aya Brea. The great news here is at Squenix’s DKΣ3713 party in Tokyo the other day, it was announced the title is now coming to PSP as well.

Furthermore, Final Fantasy Agito XIII has...
