Although it may not have the strongest development support, the PSP still managed to put out some great exclusive games throughout the first five years of its lifespan.

"Sony and third party publishers neglected to add many games to the PSP's software library in the second half of 2008. Nintendo calmed its usually aggressive handheld release schedule this year as well, allowing, atypically, third party publisher to shine with content as diverse as "Lock's Quest," "Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword," lots of Square-Enix role-playing games and Activision's unstoppable line of "Guitar Hero: On Tour" games."

Good news for PSP owners! Here are two (slightly short) debut gameplay trailers for Patapon 2 and LocoRoco 2 ...

Patapon 2. The dirty eyeballs are back!

LocoRoco 2. You better be ready for the blobs.

Two of the PSP's biggest and most innovative titles are receiving sequels according to the latest issue of Famistu magazine. Both the rhythmic combat of Patapon and simple platforming of Locoroco will be available on the go in these sure to be stunning continuations of both series. No further details are available yet

"2P Start has a Patapon-inspired comic on their site, filled with puns (or as we call em, Pata-puns, get it?). It's a cute effort that managed to break through our cold, bitter hearts. Is that a smile that we're donning? How uncomfortable."

IGN takes the concept of Super Smash Brothers and makes a list of the top characters for a PlayStation version of a multi franchise cross-over. While this is supposed to be a bit of a parody, the "Sony Skills" actually sound like they would work if a game like this was ever made. If they went the extra mile to get specific with each character's moves, it would make a perfectly legitimate rip off.
