"GamingUnion: "Potentially, Persona 3 could have been a train wreck. A spinoff of the Shin Megami Tensei series, it features randomly generated stages, with a huge focus on dungeon crawling. One only need to look at the Western reviews (and sales) of such conceptually similar titles like Azure Dreams (PSOne), or The Nightmare of Druaga (PS2) to see that Western JRPG fans traditionally haven't cared for these types of games.""

After the recent success of PERSONA 3 PORTABLE on the PSP, ATLUS doesn't seem to be dropping the game just yet.

Katsura Hashino, Director of Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4, said in a Dengeki PlayStation interview.

Rumors of Persona 5 have been swirling since last year. One article even mentioned Shoji Meguro as the game’s producer even though it has not been officially announced by Atlus.

In the column, Hashino also said he wants to add elements expected of the series and change things within those constraints. When Hashino joined the Persona..."

This may be one of the few 'extension type' games to have been released in Japan that is actually coming over to the US, yet it's true. Persona 3: FES, an extension to the original game, with more Persona, a new weapon synthesis system and a harder difficulty setting. With Persona 3 already hard to find, this game'll make the perfect substitute since it has everything that P3 has and more.

Many games seem to come across the shores from Japan to the US, but never end up going any further, fortunately, this isn't one of those times, since Koei have confirmed that Persona 3 will indeed be coming to Europe, and that to, in a months time on 29th February 2008

Have you recently bought yourself a copy of Persona 3, if you have, I bid you to look at the back - specifically towards the requirements for the game. That is correct, the requirements to play the game is 67MB of space on your Playstation 2 memory card.... which has a Max (official) capacity of 8MB meaning, you'll pretty much need 9 memory cards to save the game.

Fortunately, this is simply a misprint on the back of the box, and the true size that is required is much smaller... about 1024...

Sooo many Final Fantasy clones, sooo little time. The Shin Megami Tensei series has always promised great things thanks to superb storylines and compelling action. Yet it's never really delivered due to oddly banal gameplay mechanics and often stunted, somehow fractured characterisations. Can Persona 3 halt that trend on the PlayStation 2?

As part of their dialects into how to take console RPGs to the next level, Destructoid gives it up for the mute hero of Atlus' (recently-delayed) Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3. Allowing players to identify with the main character is paramount in RPGs, and the article (which probably doubles as a love letter to P3 itself) muses as to why P3's player avatar is a hero done. A key ingredient giving players many options for allowing the hero to grow as both a fighting party member and a person.

Publisher Atlus has been forced to push back the official North American release of their latest RPG, Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3, to August 14th. The game was previously scheduled to ship starting today, so the news will definitely be a downer for sleepless Persona fans.

The delay stems from production issues surrounding the art book which will be included with copies of Persona 3. While it is frustrating to see the game pushed back three weeks for reasons not related to bugs or game ...

The Shin Megami Tensei saga continues. In this title, players assume the role of a high school student that was orphened as a young boy. He recently transferred to Gekkoukan High School on Port Island, where he is attacked by creatures of the night, known as shadows, shortly after arrival. This assault jars awake his subconciously sleeping Persona, Orpheus, allowing him to defeat these monsters.
