"The PSP has - despite what some people insist - a seriously impressive library of great titles, especially RPGs. In fact, you could argue that the handheld has more quality role-playing games than the PS3 does. That’s why it was so hard to narrow this list down to just five games. These five, however, represent the best of the best on the PSP - not the most hyped or the most overrated (hence the lack of both Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core and Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep). These games are c..."

"The Nintendo DS may have sales numbers, but Sony’s PSP has the third-party support. Not hindered by things like technical inferiority, developers are free to create console-scale games and take chances with new concepts without having to worry about console-scale costs. Below are 10 of the best PlayStation Portable games ever made, though it’s by no means every amazing game available—we just didn’t have room for a Top 20."

Still wondering what to get that PSP owner this holiday season? Perhaps your secret Santa's PSP is collecting dust somewhere in the house. BrightHub's got you covered with a solid selection of titles for Sony's portable.

"I’ve noticed that many of the more ardent collectors often have a focus in their collection; games from a particular platform, genre, or publisher, for instance. I’ve never cared to do this until recently when I was hit with a thought: I want to collect every Megami Tensei game. I’m not entirely sure why I decided on this, but it seems like a good idea. I’ve enjoyed the games I’ve played, and I think it will be a challenging, but attainable, goal."

After the recent success of PERSONA 3 PORTABLE on the PSP, ATLUS doesn't seem to be dropping the game just yet.

"Basically, two types of gamers are going to be interested in this game: those that played Persona 3 and those who didn’t (but may have played Persona 4, its critically acclaimed follow-up). For those who haven’t played Persona 3 yet, this purchase may be a no-brainer, especially if you already played and enjoyed Persona 4. Fans who have already experienced the game once (or maybe even twice) may have more reservations, especially because of the shift in platforms. While I fall into the cat..."

This year’s July new releases was packed with many big-named games and hidden gems. Here are the top five best titles that were released in the previous month.

"The Kill Kast is back again and this time they are talking portable gaming. Stephanie, Rebecca and Eric get together to talk about what they’ve been playing which includes Persona 3, Limbo, Borderlands and Hulu Plus on the PS3. As always we chat about some recent news and we go into our topic of the podcast which is portable gaming; what we like about it, what we hate about it, why we play portable games or why we don’t, and what we hope to see in future. More importantly we talk about our u..."

"All-in-all Persona 3 Portable manages to stay just as entertaining as the original while managing to offer a new experience for those gamers that have already played it on the PlayStation 2. While not having the anime cut scenes did hurt it a bit having the original voice cast return made it still feel like the same game and having the option for a new lead manages to keep things interesting for those gamers wondering if playing it again is worth it. The soundtrack also managed to remain just..."

"In this inaugural episode of the TV and Lust podcast, Craig, Fran, Seth and Chris all introduce themselves to their listeners, and talk about what games they’ve all been playing recently, including LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4, Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3 Portable, Metal Gear Solid and Deathsmiles. The staff also go over a few games they’re looking forward to in the coming months."

"You can think of these anticipated games as the only games that really matter. We sure do. But we’re open minded folks here, so we won’t hold it against you if you’re looking forward to something else. Something obviously not nearly as cool. All release dates are North American."

"Persona 3’s gameplay is a mix of several elements including traditional dungeon crawling and turn-based combat, sim-based dialogue, and point-and-click exploration. The game’s more traditional elements aren’t groundbreaking, but solidly implemented."

"The biggest addition that Persona 3 Portable brings to the table is a playable female character. At the beginning of the game, you’ll choose to play as a male or a female character, offering up a different view of the game’s plot. The game’s storyline and gameplay elements are pretty much the same whether you go male or female, but this is nevertheless something that the PSP version has over its PS2 counterparts."

With all of the RPGs being released for handhelds lately it may be hard for gamers to decide just which ones they should be picking up. With new features and a more streamlined interface, handheld gamers are sure to want to experience this amazing game one more time when it hit stores July 6th, 2010.

Persona 3 is considered to be one of the best of the PlayStation 2’s RPG, and though fairly new in the U.S. compared to many other titles, it offered a great experience that many gamers loved. The battle system as well as “social links” offered a fun experience for a fan of RPGs to enjoy.

"Wwhat will follow is a top 10 list of the best Japanese RPGs, shining examples of the JRPG genre done right. These games are proof that the JRPG genre is not, as a whole, stagnant and rigid, as these games in particular have addressed most, if not all, of the flaws that other articles points out as being supposedly endemic to the JRPG genre. The games on this list are just plain awesome, and the fact that they are JRPGs becomes irrelevant in the face of their quality. Not all Western gamers a..."
