Atlus USA announces plans to release the remastered PlayStation Vita edition of Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4 in North America this fall as Persona 4 Golden.

Atlus announced a few months ago that they would bring some of their most popular Japanese titles to America. Today, they have made an announcement that has many Sony giddy with joy. Check out the full story for all the details.

In an e-mail sent out today to its newsletter subscribers, Atlus USA has announced that they will be reprinting their PS1 RPG Persona 2: Eternal Punishment, a couple weeks ahead of the upcoming release of Persona 4 for the PS2. The reprint is being sold exclusively by Amazon US and Amazon Canada, and is available in extremely limited quantities. As of this writing, around 300-350 copies are still remaining.

The latest game in publisher/developer Atlus's vaunted Shin Megami Tensei series, Persona 4 was announced for a US release on December 9th, 2008, during the Atlus panel at Anime Expo 2008.

Persona 4 is the sixth Persona game in the Shin Megami Tensei series, known for its extensive use of dark storylines, settings and the use of demons.
