Q-Games usually doesn't do sequels. When they release a game and it becomes popular enough they release an encore version, which is seen in Monsters and Eden. But Dylan Cuthbert said that they have so many ideas and really wanted to test their engine, and moving on would seem to be just a waste. So expect to see Shooter 2 before the next original PixelJunk game.
"Q-Games' Dylan Cuthbert doesn't like you, cheap gamer. When quizzed by Develop, the PixelJunk creator described one thing that disappointed him most about the industry: gamers that refuse to open up their wallets. "Gamers complaining about our games being too expensive at 10 dollars. I'm not sure this is an industry problem, but it seems ridiculous that people complain about that price point." ""It’s rare for a game to get a significant alteration so late in development, but when it happens it’s usually for a very good reason. PixelJunk Shooter recieved a lot of praise and gained popularity thanks to its playable E3 demo, and according to Dylan Cuthbert the game is making good progress.""
