Skylanders is a unique style of game in which players can interchange characters with collectible figures they place on a surface. Is this a concept that other games could utilize? Mike D from Yet Another Gaming Show looks at a couple other examples of games that could consider this very notion.
Video games make good Movies. Video Games also make good fake Movie trailers. They are hilarious and coming from video games you would never expect. So check them out!
Pokemon 000, Triple Zero, 'The Victory Pokemon', Victini will be available for those that buy Pokemon Black or Pokemon White from launch March 6, until April 10
"This week's cosplay babe of the week was a toughy. She's associated with one of the most popular video game franchises in the history of gaming, but more for the merchandising and cartoons than being a gym leader in red and blue. The moment we see Misty, we instantly say "gotta catch 'em all"."
"But on to more important stuff. See, I hate reading. It's for pretentious jerks that think they're better than everyone. In fact, I don't even like writing. I use speak and spell software to dictate my articles to the computer. It takes six hours for a review but it's totally worth it.
The one exception to my hatred of reading is when I'm searching the internet for the latest and greatest Pokemon fanfictions. Nobody writes about the Pokemon universe better than 12-year-old girls."
Jack DeVries is a self-proclaimed Pokemon maniac. He's not ashamed to admit he plays "alternate world" in his bedroom. In fact, he even bought a cook book just because it had "poke" on it.
This craziness lead him to the creating of a blog for all things Pokemon themed which are just really weird, odd or just shouldn't be done.
Read on to see how you can eat, fish, read, smell, touch, ride and jump around inside Pokemon!
That's right, Nintendo is planning something quite special with DSvision. It'll be coming out on the 18th of December.
The package will be 2GB all up. It'll comprise five of the movies, totaling to over five hours worth of watching!
Jack DeVries of ign.com recently went to an event for the upcoming Pokemon game, Pokemon Ranger: Shadows of Almia. While there, he decided for some unknown reason to compile a mental list of the Pokemon you really just don't want to catch, the sort that mentally prevent you from catching them all.
Each Pokemon listed is given a little bit of information (Name, Type, Number and Species) from the Pokedex before a a nice healthy statement of why you don't want to go anywhere near that Pokemon...
Mums always do a really good job making a great birthday party when you're a little kid. They always come up with fun themes, games and generally make it a whole lot of fun.
This mum decided that if her child loved Pokemon, he'd be getting Pokemon! She made some pretty cool looking Pokemon cupcakes. Faces include Snorlax, Pikachu, Jigglypuff, Piplup, Munchlax and Turtwig.
Hungry?

"Lopunny poses like a Playboy bunny in a centerfold spread. Or a prostitute working the sidewalk. Either way, it's sexually suggestive. It also grabs its chest area like it's trying to keep you from seeing the goods. And is it just me or do Lopunny's elbows look like a pair of drooping...boobs? There's so much subconscious sexual imagery going on with Lopunny - if I saw one standing like that at a bar, I might just have to take it home with me."
The May 2008 NPD numbers have been recently released, and by the looks of it, the numbers overall were below people's expectations, with hardware and software numbers decreasing since last month. Many thanks for sonycowboy at NeoGAF and the NPD Group for making the numbers available. The tracking period was a four week period, from May 4th to May 31st.
May only saw one major release: the ever-popular Wii Fit from Nintendo. The focus this month came on Grand Theft Auto IV, Mario Kart W...
A great graduation speech about trying to be the best, like no one ever was, traveling across the land, searching far and wide, evolving and training to achieve your goals.
Oh and Pokemon
"Who doesn't love a good team-up? Batman and Robin! Artoo and Threepio! Peanut butter and chocolate! Some duos simply belong together. Unfortunately, the latest collaboration between Nintendo and Chunsoft brings together Pokémon and the Mystery Dungeon series for a team-up that's less steak and horseradish than Siegfried and Roy: They're together, and you kinda wish they weren't. But there's nothing you can do about it.
Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time and Darkness is actually the..."
"The games let you play as your favourite pokémon, determined by a personality test they conduct at the start of the game. There are 16 to choose from - including four from Diamond and Pearl - while a sidekick pokémon is also selectable to help on the game's quest, which takes place in limitless randomly generated dungeons.
Options in the game include being able to invite pokémon you've defeated along the way to join your team and also a new option to send an SOS mail via wi-fi to friends i..."
The NPD Group recently released their tracked sales numbers for April 2008, for the four week tracking period that ends on May 3rd, 2008. Many thanks to sonycowboy at NeoGAF and the NPD Group for the numbers.
April saw the release of two major games: Grand Theft Auto IV, which shattered industry records, and Mario Kart Wii, the latest installment in Nintendo's Mario Kart franchise. You would think that there would be strong sales all around for the three current generation consoles, but ...
Nintendo has offered up a bit of news regarding their spring UK launches for the DS.
Cooking Guide: Can't Decide What to Eat will be out in June, Etrian Odyssey, June 6. The pair of Pokémon Mystery Dungeon titles will see release July 4.
All looks good for DS-owning RPG-lovin' chefs!
"#10 Happiny
It's not like Happiny isn't cute. We would love to pick it up and squish it. It's just that Happiny looks like Kirby in drag, and although Nintendo's pink puffball loves dressing up, we just never envisioned him prancing around as a girl. Hey, we'd love him no matter what he looked like."
