The first Pokémon of the 5th generation has been somewhat revealed during tonight's episode of Pokémon Sunday. And by that, I mean we have been shown its silhouette, but nothing else. However, this has been enough to rile up fans around the world, many of whom have already speculated as to what exactly the silhouette depicts.

Nintendo president Satoru Iwata recently revealed that the Pokemon we know and love almost didn't make it to the West. When the games were about to leave Japan, localizers told Nintendo that Western audiences would never accept the cute little monsters and advised Nintendo to make the creatures more "muscle-bound" to appeal to Western gamers. Pokemon fansites all over the web are going absolutely nuts over a recent imminent announcement of a major Pokemon game. Next Sunday on Pokemon Sunday (Japan's anime plus anything Pokemon show) is what many are expecting to be the official unveiling of Pokemon Gold and Pokemon Silver remakes. Aside from Japanese magazines having a hand in this, possibly the biggest giveaway of it all was a display of gold and silver party balls displayed during the show.

Earlier this week, you may have seen a news article stating that the latest game coming from The Pokémon Company and Nintendo, Pokémon Platinum had sold 740,000 copies in the first week. That number had been proven to be false due to faulty source data.
