"With the state the economy is in today, it’s always nice to get something free once in a while and therefore Pro Evolution Soccer fans will be happy to hear Konami have today released a free pack available to download on the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC.
So what does the new content bring?"

"Over the past few years the FIFA series has been the soccer game of choice. Ever since EA’s recommitment to realism in the series, Konami has had a tough time keeping up with them. With every title released the PES series has felt more and more dated. Whether they were content with sticking to a proven formula created many years ago or whether they just couldn’t find a way to bring life back into the series, Pro Evolution Soccer has failed to deliver year after year. Going into PES 2010, Kona..."

"All you have to do is tell us your most memorable soccer/football moment whether it’s in real life or in a video game. I have very fond memories of playing FIFA with my brother when I was a kid, like the time where we made each other emulate the player’s goal celebration if we scored. I also have a lot of memories of playing soccer, like when I scored the game-tying goal and a penalty shot in a playoff game. And who can forget the Liverpool vs. West Ham FA Cup game when Steven Gerrard banged..."

"Sports games are a bit notorious for being slow to add additional features. In the place of new features is a endless march of yearly roster updates and with minor tweaks here or there. EA has been the leader in sports games in recent years, with the lead game of the soccer genre under their banner, the FIFA series. Trailing behind the FIFA series in recent years has been Pro Evolution Soccer, falling just short year after year. With these two juggernauts battling it out for the player's atte..."

Big name publishers such as Microsoft, Sony, Activision, Electronic Arts, Nintendo and Square Enix were joined by a raft of development studios and accessory manufacturers, each attempting to wow their audience with their latest and greatest releases."

"Konami’s Tokyo-based development team has collated feedback on the series’ strengths and weaknesses via fan forums, both ardent and casual PES players and press comment, and has incorporated a wide range of requests in the new game. The result is promising to be the most challenging, realistic and satisfying PES to date. Konami has spent the last year expanding the development team’s numbers, and created a number of dedicated departments, each striving to further improving their respective pa..."

"Likewise, a decisive addition to PES 2010 is an all-new game balance system that affects both attacking and defensive elements of the game. The player in possession now has ‘instantaneous stamina’ in addition to his overall stamina, which prevents unbeatable runs from being used as a constant tactic."
