"Before we begin there are two things worthy of note that happened last week. Steve Jobs passed away and Team Bondi have closed their doors for good. Steve Jobs leaves behind him the sort of legacy that most of us will only ever dream about and the rest of us will spend time complaining about. The fact of the matter is, whether you love or hate Apple, his work has had an undeniable influence on the modern world and, on topic, mobile gaming, a fact that seems undeniable when Angry Birds, availa..."

"Microsoft has dropped the ball in so many instances now that it may be completely impossible to recover. Fans of the mega-company's gaming hardware have to face some facts at this point when it comes to the franchises that Microsoft had used to establish the Xbox brand in the first place. They're gone."

With the merger of Bizarre Creations by Activision, Bizarre Creations, one of the largest independant developers in the UK is no longer independant. However, this is far from bad news, as this means that the PGR series is no longer restricted to the XBOX platform, and future versions could very well be appearing on the Playstation 3, Wii or even PC.

The merger will see Bizarre Creation having the same freedom as before, except this time with support from Activision, which can only mean on...

Xbox 360's Project Gotham Racing 4 has gone gold (means it's 100% done, certified and sent off to manufacturing). Four new screenshots were also released and some hints at future downloadable content.

Speculation is currently looming over what Microsoft will be offering at the Tokyo Games Show tomorrow for there Xbox 360. Rumours build up from a great line up of products with the likes off Konami's Winning Eleven, Microsoft Game Studio's Halo 3, Koei's Blade Storm and Square Enix's The Last Remnant including many more. But I guess we will find out tomorrow for sure.

With PGR only a month away (less than a month if your in the US, slightly more if your in Europe), BizzareCreations (the developers of the game) have given all PGR fans a treat with information that was revealed at the Leipzig event a few weeks ago. So let's take you through the quick run-down (visit the source for the full details).

Less than a day ago, a post on Bizzare Creations Forums sparked a rumour that sparked curiosity and anger, and even gloating. Being reported over the internet on numerous sites, Bizzare Creations have done just as they should, and squashed the rumour.

Speaking via a press release, Bizzare Creations today said that the DVD size has NEVER been an issue with the creation of PGR4, and that they have managed to do all that which they hoped to with the game, and that too on the DVD9.

Stating...

Having taken a lot of heat initially for including the Blu-Ray player in the PS3 (which also caused the price to increase), it seems that Sony's decision was most certainly justified, as Project Gotham Racing 4 for the XBOX360 was recently announced to exceed the DVD9's capacity. It seems that Sony have taken this news, and welcomed it with open arms, using this news as a way to somewhat rightfully "gloat" about the their future sense in including the Blu-Ray player with the PS3.

"You won’t see different times of day per city because this involves recreating all the textures again (one for day and one for night). Whilst this wasn’t a problem for our dev team, it was a problem fitting all this data onto a single DVD. So we’ve worked around the problem by providing different lighting models per city. For example, Macau is always in the daytime, but if you play it during a storm everything looks darker and more foreboding. If you play during a blizzard then things are sli..."

Well for all you people out there who have been waiting to see what the PGR4 bikes have in store for you, here is a detailed trailer from E3 showing you all the new moves.

Project Gotham Racing 4 looks to please with amazing graphics and new features. With the addition of motorcycles, many are already putting this game above Forza Motorsport 2. But with the amazing details on rain, sleet, and snow, astonishing maps to play in, and team play online, who could blame them?

"Today, Bizarre Creations released the official box art for Project Gotham Racing 4 (viewable after the break) featuring a closeup of a red vehicle sporting a PGR 4 emblem. It's quite the interesting choice for box art as we're on the fence about the design. But if you look closer you'll see something that's very interesting. Behind the PGR 4 logo is the reflection of a motorcycle blazing past the car. Does this mean that motorcycles will be drivable in the fourth edition of the PGR franchise ..."

"Being PGR fans you’ll already appreciate how challenging the Nurburgring sets out to be. Probably you’re good enough to stay with the curves even when it rains, sure even when it pours. But try snow. Try thick, heavy, bad-ass blizzard kind of snow with gigantic flakes obscuring your view. This is what Bizarre Creations has forecast for PGR4 and yes you’ll still be required to power drift for those kudos points. We fear for your sanity we really do, controlling your back end won’t be easy – an..."
