Xbox Live billboards condemn drink driving
"As part of a seasonal anti drink-driving campaign, the Scottish Government is this week allocating some £10,000 GBP to the integration of advisory public information adverts onto videogame billboards found in the likes of Project Gotham Racing 4, Need for Speed: Carbon, and Pro Evolution Soccer 2008."

PGR4 For The PS3? Likely Thanks To Activision
"Both of our two main game teams are about to start work on two new AAA titles for Activision. One will be a racing game, and the other a character game. Of course we'll make some more detailed announcements in the future, but be prepared for something big and exciting!"

Speculation over products Microsoft's will offer at TGS tomorrow
"Tomorrow, Microsoft is having a pre-TGS press conference. The briefing will feature new trailers and a few surprises. I'll be on the ground covering the event. What can we expect? Rumor has it that third party companies like Square Enix, Bandai Namco, Koei, Konami and Tecmo will be showing their Xbox 360 support. Here's what will apparently be shown:
Square Enix
The Last Remnant
New Xbox 360 exclusive
Bandai Namco
Beautiful Katamari Damacy
Ace Combat 6
New Xbox 360 title
Koei

PGR4: The Low Down From Bizzare Creations
With PGR only a month away (less than a month if your in the US, slightly more if your in Europe), BizzareCreations (the developers of the game) have given all PGR fans a treat with information that was revealed at the Leipzig event a few weeks ago. So let's take you through the quick run-down (visit the source for the full details).
» The traditional PGR Arcade Mode will be returning...Medal pursuit is the order of the day, as you take on stages over various different disciplines in order t...

Bizzare Creations: PGR4 NOT Limited By DVD9
"Rather than having two "fixed" times of day, this time around we decided to use our time to create a dynamic weather system, which effectively creates a much more dramatic palette from which to work with. To show you where we're coming from, have a look at this screenshot crop sheet. This is something we use internally to compare our environments, lighting, and weather effects... but it's certainly useful for demonstrating the breadth of the game here!"

Sony: Blu-Ray Justified, Just Look At PGR4
"We took a lot of heat at launch for including Blu-Ray in PS3. Now it looks like that investment is being justified.
Next generation games simply need more space on the disc to contain all that high definition content. Take a look at Lair, for example, already pushing 25GB of content, and that is a first-generation title. At 50GB storage capacity, Blu-Ray gives the PS3 plenty of headroom for developers to fully realize their visions well into the future."

DVD9 limiting PGR4. Should Microsoft have used Blu-ray?
"You won’t see different times of day per city because this involves recreating all the textures again (one for day and one for night). Whilst this wasn’t a problem for our dev team, it was a problem fitting all this data onto a single DVD. So we’ve worked around the problem by providing different lighting models per city. For example, Macau is always in the daytime, but if you play it during a storm everything looks darker and more foreboding. If you play during a blizzard then things are sli..."

PGR4 Taking the Pole Position
"Project Gotham Racing 3 introduced gamers to the "next-gen" Xbox 360™ experience: slick high-definition graphics, an exquisitely immersive in-cockpit view, live races on Project Gotham TV, as well as the stylized Kudos system, exotic cars, interactive garages, and photo-realistic tracks.
Most encores to a wildly successful game franchise would play a conservative hand. Evolve a few features, slap on a new coat of paint, and call it a day. This is not the case with Project Gotham Racing® 4...."

PGR4 Box Art Announced, Hints of Bikes Inclusion?
"Today, Bizarre Creations released the official box art for Project Gotham Racing 4 (viewable after the break) featuring a closeup of a red vehicle sporting a PGR 4 emblem. It's quite the interesting choice for box art as we're on the fence about the design. But if you look closer you'll see something that's very interesting. Behind the PGR 4 logo is the reflection of a motorcycle blazing past the car. Does this mean that motorcycles will be drivable in the fourth edition of the PGR franchise ..."

Latest PGR4 details paints a cold picture
"Being PGR fans you’ll already appreciate how challenging the Nurburgring sets out to be. Probably you’re good enough to stay with the curves even when it rains, sure even when it pours. But try snow. Try thick, heavy, bad-ass blizzard kind of snow with gigantic flakes obscuring your view. This is what Bizarre Creations has forecast for PGR4 and yes you’ll still be required to power drift for those kudos points. We fear for your sanity we really do, controlling your back end won’t be easy – an..."
