I remember when I loved playing those Space shooting games and the classical Mario. Some of us usually forget these things by now but let's bring back those old fashioned characters in this Top 10 list. Check them out.
"If there’s one video game company in the industry that knows its audience it would have to be Nintendo. Not only has the Japanese publisher been churning out hit after hit, they have been revolutionizing and leading the industry since 1983 when the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) launched in 1983 in Japan and 1985 in North America. They have moved from console to console and have never even looked back once—okay, maybe the Virtual Boy was a mistake—as they continue to push forward with ne..."
Punch-Out!! wowed many NES gamers back in the '80s thanks to its simple yet highly addictive boxing gameplay. Considered a classic, this Virtual Console download remains a great title worth playing.
"Everyone has that video game they absolutely love. Everyone has that video game that they can play for hours on end. Everyone has that video game character that has won their heart and everyone has that video game character that they absolutely hate..."

"Like Jack Bauer, Chuck Norris and Neil Patrick Harris rise above the station of mortal men and become legendary, so do some video games. While 2009 was a tough year for the industry, both financially and creatively, that didn't stop a handful of titles from being enshrined into the video game canon."
Although the Nintendo Wii may be lacking in high-profile exclusive game releases in the year of 2009, the system did have quite a few overlooked Wii-only titles.
"Be honest, when’s the last time you gave your stick a waggle? If you’re a hardcore gamer, it’s probably been a while, but the rest of us power up the Wii every other day and give that barely-functional stick a shake or two. Why? Because it’s damn fun, that’s why. Here are the games that have had us swinging it the most this year."
AAG's Phong Nguyen brings us his 8th The Week That Was. This week he talks about the PS3 Slim, Gran Turismo 5's release, the Xbox 360 Elite price drop, the software sales domination of Wii Sports Resort and more.
"History has shown that video games and movies don’t mix. Games based off of movies are generally of lower quality, and movies based off of games are much, much worse. On the bright side, at least a few of the movies are of the so-bad-it’s-good variety. Gamers know the movies will always suck, and as such parody movie trailers of games that would make awful movies are prevalent in out fandom. We at The Gaming Dungeon are not rich or geographically close enough to do one ourselves; but we, if n..."
The Producer of Punch-Out tells Official Nintendo Magazine that he would love to make a sequel to the game and gives them a few ideas he had and pretty much completely dropped the bomb saying things like "Once the game has a big enough fanbase and "The sequel would be our opportunity" pretty much just confirms it(Kind of).
AAG's Phong Nguyen has written his second, "The Week That Was". In this article he provides us with a summary of the news in the past week for the Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii including the weeks notable game releases.

The next opponent is Great Tiger, a practitioner of magic. Brace yourself, this pugilist can be punishing. Just follow our tips, and you’ll retain Little Mac’s crown."
"This week, it’s Bear Hugger’s encore at Punch-Out!! for the Nintendo Wii. If you recall, your first encounter with Bear Hugger wasn’t overly difficult. But beware! "Nintendo hardcore fans are hanging by the last thread for some great hardcore games; I know I have felt this year is a bit lackluster in the games that i would consider great. Punch-Out is an attempt to satisfy us hungry devoted fans and is successful, for a bit. What you get is a game that feels too familiar to the already simple gameplay; even though the game is a blast to play. If you need a reason to turn your Wii on again, this might be what you are looking for."
"The undefeated former world boxing champion Joe Calzaghe will visit HMV’s flagship Oxford Street store in London’s West End, on Sunday 24th May 2009 to help launch Nintendo’s new release, Punch-Out!! on Wii by competing against members of the public on the store’s main stage."
A nice few goodies for you to choose from this week -- Bionic Commando is looking pretty great, Terminator Salvation shows some promise (though taking out T-800s with shotguns and such doesn't seem very realistic or fun to us), UFC fans get the latest in the form of Undisputed, Nintendo launches Punch-Out!!, EA tries out the Wii excercise thing, and DS owners get some cool adventures.
"The latest Game Informer review scores are as follows:

"It's hard to find anyone who owned a Nintendo Entertainment System that doesn't have the original Punch-Out!! in their Top Ten. The game is rightfully held in high regard among console gamers because of its intensely challenging and satisfying gameplay. It's also one of the most difficult action games to master because of its dependence on pattern recognition and almost split-second response on the controller. Nintendo's franchise has been in unofficial retirement for nearly 15 years now; tha..."
It's been fifteen years since Little Mac has stepped into the ring for the WVBA Championship, and now he's back in the latest promotional video for Nintendo's upcoming title: Punch-Out!! for the Wii.
You see, a comeback is like a yo-yo. You gonna go down, but you coming right back up. And then, you may end up walking the dog.
Punch-Out!! is set to release May 18th in North America.
Sayonara for now, folks. That's Japanese for 'Goodbye'.
"April was a slow month for big blockbuster titles. Fortunately, May is looking like it will pick up the slab with several promising games. Here are the top five new video games to look forward to this month."
"Nintendo made the Wii for girls. Oh, and grandmas, too, who are like girls, except with more wrinkles and better oatmeal cookies. But you know who the Wii is NOT for? People who play video games consistently, i.e. guys, and that’s why the Nintendo Wii is doomed for failure in the long run."

"I must admit it was pretty difficult to choose the finalists since there are over 50 Wii games to be released this year (at least this is the number we know of!). Therefore, we had to let out other promising titles like Endless Ocean 2, Onechanbara: Bikini Zombie Slayers or Overlord, but Im pretty sure that the list below manages to cover the hottest upcoming releases. So check it out!"
