"It's been well over two years since Xbox Live Indie Games were made available, and to this day they still retain a generally negative reputation. Despite a plethora of hidden gems and worthwhile ventures, there are simply far too many bad games flooding the market. Hypothetically, if Microsoft were to perform a routine cleanup of the very worst XBLIGs (like they once threatened with XBLA games) the service as a whole would likely receive more positive remarks. Though it definitely strikes aga..."
"The player’s choice for progression has been expanded exponentially, with multiple quest-paths providing weaving stories in, out and regardless of the main storyline. Instead of just have one large map, the game has dozens of small maps (Solar Systems) interlinked through a larger map (Galaxies). While the player must traverse set paths in order to travel from Galaxy-to-Galaxy, they are free-to-roam in each small Solar System through indirect movement of their ship on the Left Analogue Stick...."

"Battles aren’t conducted between combatants in Galactrix as it was in Warlords; instead, your spaceships will do the battle. During battle, a honeycomb grid will appear in the touch screen, with the two spacecrafts’ status on the top. You will notice that there is a blue bar and orange bar; the blue bar representing your ship’s shield power, and the orange representing your life points; once it drops to 0, it’s game over. Battle is simply conducted by linking 3 or more of the hexagonal plates..."

Check out first impressions of the game as well as a glimpse of the event here!
"Puzzle Quest: Galactrix is clearly a more elaborate production than the many variants of its predecessor from even just the first few moments introduction. Deftly weaving a wholly unnecessary narrative into its combative puzzling, there’s no doubt it’s a title born of a developer’s love for their own creation. And with that, fans are unlikely to be displeased."
Electronic Theatre confirms the acquisition of D3Publisher by Bandai Namco Games, with a direct statement from D3Publisher. D3Publishers titles include Onechanbara, Puzzle Quest and Eat Lead.

"While the developers behind the upcoming Puzzle Quest: Galactrix are quick to tell you that the new PQ game is a brand-new experience, there are a few things, we're delighted to report, that have barely changed at all. Like its predecessor, Challenge of the Warlords, Galactrix will have a sprawling story taking place across a huge universe, an in-depth RPG plot, and loads of depth. Best of all, the gem-busting puzzle game that is at the heart of Galactrix is just as monumentally addictive as ..."
""We have listed 10 of the best Xbox Live Arcade titles that every gamer needs to own and while these are not in any particular order out of all the games on the Xbox Live Arcade these rose to the top. It was a hard decision to make as well with so many amazing titles the list could have easily hit 20 titles.""
