"As the retail season enters it’s final cataclysmic hours before Christmas some consumers are amassing at retail establishments, while their smarter counterparts are now reading the internet looking for downloadable games that can be gifted at the last moment. Of course the wise consumer also knows that these year end game sales are also a way to catch up the previous year’s hit games for a fraction of their launch prices. Below, the DoEE has compiled the best sales of the Christmas rush for..."
"Looking back on everything that came out this year, there’s a lot of stuff I missed; and a lot more stuff that I forgot even came out (Dead Space 2 was this year?!). This was a really good year for gaming, and now I have a lot of games that I’ll have to talk about on The Catch-Up. Like…"
NoobFeed.com watches the VGA too, but was rather surprised at one particular entry. Therefore, Daav has come up with his own batch of selected trailers of other deserving participants. Default Prime reviewer Matt Buckley enters the post-apocalyptic world of id Software's first game developed entirely in-house since 2004's Doom 3. It might not be what we'd hoped it would be, but it's still a solid ride throughout. But the PC version... ugh.

PC gaming is not likely to ever completely die, but it's certainly as far from the leading role as it's ever been. When one of the most influential visionaries in PC gaming is declaring the platform to be playing second fiddle, we have no choice but to listen.
John Carmack is a very, very rich man because of PC gaming; despite his tacit admission that consoles are an inferior development platform, he has now forsaken PC gaming. It must be the money.
Review of the last game by Jhon Carmack, creator of masterpieces as Quake and Doom. Using new graphic engine Tech 5, Rage want to redefine the fps post apocaliptic genre
Rage is an interesting fps, one part Borderlands, one part Fallout, and one part generic fps all come together. Rage's upgrade system, active inventory, and story make it stand out from the crowded fps market. Rage is the perfect game for an fps fan who is looking for something a little different.
Daav from NoobFeed.com relives the days when id Software ruled the FPS lands, but now in a whole different setting. Rage brings more than just shooting to the game and the racing aspect is fully decked out, just like great presentation. It's not without error, but it's well worth the trip.
NoobFeed.com takes on RAGE from Bethesda, but the localized version seems to be more to chew than anticipated. Check out what issues can halt your progress, but know that at least not all issues are bad issues.
"I think we all remember the days of playing through the first Doom and being wowed by what the game offered and even though ID have been dormant for a while and have not been making games as much as they might want to, they have certainly been keeping busy. So what have they been working on for the past few years I hear you ask? Well that game is called RAGE."
In this Public Service Announcement brought to you by RealGamerNewz, find out what you can do to prevent having the side-content locked out of your RAGE play-through and when exactly this event is triggered.

"Rage has been available to purchase for just over a day and immediately gamers on the PC have been experiencing problems. The id developed shooter released to solid reviews around the internet with little to no issues reported from Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 players, but PC gamers have been reporting major performance issues since release. Bethesda and id have heard the rage of PC gamers and have released a new AMD driver which will hopefully fix the issues."
"As I typed up my review for id Software’s Rage, I couldn’t help but look over the opinions of some of my fellow peers to see what they thought. I saw one site award it with a 9.5 based primarily on its technical achievements and all around fun (which, yes, it does have), and another go a little lower on the scale to about an 8.5, due to its lack of fundamentally bound story. And then I read this truly hateful review, where elements of the game were called “tedious” and logic never came into t..."
"I can honestly tell you that RAGE, no matter how good it looks or how much fun it may end up being, will not take priority of Battlefield or Arkham City; no offense to id Software."
"Here’s a roundup of some of the games I managed to get some extensive hands-on time with at the recent Eurogamer Expo in London. As well as highlighting what was looking good, I’ve pointed out a few that you should definitely beware of before you splash the cash. The Contender category consists of a few games that you might usually overlook due to past form or generic looks, but have a read; you might just change your mind."

The first TV commercial for id software’s RAGE debuted several days ago during ESPN’s COllege Football on ABC. Gonna assume that a lot of us missed it due to the fact that it aired during a football game; I know I missed it.
RAGE is shaping up to be a great game from id Software and this gameplay trailer doesn’t say otherwise. The trailer is all about a co-op mission in which the players have to return water to the town while disarming bombs and taking out members of the Shrouded Clan.
"A new trailer for Rage has been released, and you’d best be prepared to go on a mission seeking Plutonium Feltrate while facing some freaky mutants and Gearheads along the way. Don’t worry; you’ll have a full arsenal of weapons, robots and decoys at your disposal. Of course, if you don’t keep your wits about you, you’ll end up being one more smear on the face of Rage’s apocalyptic wasteland."
"It’s almost here! We’re just a day away from attending one of the biggest video game community events around, the Penny Arcade Expo. We’ll be jetting up to Seattle, Washington, setting up camp in an overcrowded hotel room and mingling with the locals and the video game zealots across three days of truly crazed gaming dementia. We can’t wait! Meanwhile, what the heck are we looking forward to? Tons in fact. Let’s count down the ten things we can’t wait to do when we arrive at PAX. The full sch..."

"I was scrolling through the internet today as per usual looking around for what was new in the gaming world. I come across a strange article titled ‘RAGE- New purchase incentive’. This article caught my eye as I had been literally drooling over the screen-shots and game-play footage that had been gradually drip fed by id’s PR and marketing department since early last year.
Despite doing a great job of the marketing, what hadn’t been mentioned quite as much was that the game was getting it..."

RAGE is a new kind of action game that is being released later this year by iD. A comic book based off of the game has hit retail stores today so you can get some RAGE in before the game is released.
"We'll be feeling the RAGE come the end of August with Bethesda Softworks' rather interestingly titled game known as 'RAGE'. What does 'RAGE' say for you? To me it spells mayhem, I picture a game like F.E.A.R. actually or perhaps a hint of Just Cause 2. Insanity. Thankfully my poor guessing work isn't as much necessary as it once was before we saw screenshots of the game, and now we have plenty more to show you today."
The big picture of everything that's happened leading up to and since the Sony PlayStation Hack is more than meets the eye. The larger movement going on against gamers in the tech hacker world is increasingly a problem for major game companies like Bethesda, Ubisoft, Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo.
"RAGE’s newest gameplay clip takes you to The Well. The town of Wellspring is being terrorized by a bandit clan threatening to poison the town’s water supply and they need your help. The ransacked well must be infiltrated and the bandit threat of lethal contamination must be stopped."
"Well, John Carmack is no longer interested in game development and he is not interfering with any of ID Software's game content. He is mostly behind the technological side of things and developing game engines. Rage, ID's upcoming title, will use the next generation IDTech 5, which is also one of Carmack's creations."
"In an industry flooded with generic first-person shooters and role-playing games, a common complaint among gamers is the lack of fresh and original content in the form of new intellectual properties. Sequels have become a driving force within the industry as the eighth Call of Duty is set for release later this year, and nearly every high profile title this holiday season has a number at the end of the title. While there certainly are benefits to sequels – building upon a universe, improving ..."
"A new trailer for Rage is out this week, and my skepticism has grown into disdain. In the mid 1990’s if you had asked me for my favorite game company the answer would have come back id software. To this day Doom remains my favorite game of all time, and I will argue anyone with anyone in the world about the gameplay standards set by that glorious game that can’t even be mimicked to this day. Unfortunately, times have changed and id software hasn’t, except in losing the apparent necessary comp..."
"RAGE is slated for release on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC in North America and releases in North America on September 13th and across Europe on September 16th."

"In 2011, two shooter heavyweights go to head to head; id Software’s RAGE and Crytek’s Crysis 2.
id are the veritable granddaddy of the first person shooter. Way back in the 90s, the Texan software house–now owned by ZeniMax–made the genre what it is today with their pioneering games: Doom, Quake and Wolfenstein 3D."
"2010 gave PC gamers enough variety and support to keep most of us happy and push away the rumors that “PC gaming is dead”. The long awaited Star Craft 2 was welcomed with open arms by Star Craft fans, the latest installment of the Call of Duty series let us have dedicated servers for Black Ops even though the game its self was a little on the buggy side, Indie developers showed the big boys how to make a scary game with Amnesia, WoW players scored another dose of their addiction in the form o..."
"Critical Gamer writes: Of all the Dev Sessions going on over the weekend, the only one that got me interested was this one. Quake was the first LAN multiplayer game I ever played, staying late at the office just so I could pepper spray Dave from IT with a nail gun repeatedly (for ‘pepper spray Dave’, read ‘Dave annihilated everyone’. Gleefully). Doom was the first FPS I played. So when I found out id, makers of both FPS icons above were showing off Rage, their shiny new FPS, I was more than w..."
"Critical Gamer writes: What sort of man should I expect Tim Willits, the Creative Director for Rage, to be? Perhaps a slobbish Comic Book Guy style stereotype, given his hardcore PC gaming background. Then again, he worked on the Doom and Quake games; so perhaps you would expect an aloof business type, corrupted by the astounding success of id.
When I meet him, Tim Willits is neither of these things. He’s a casually dressed, casually spoken guy who shows deserved pride in id’s heritage, an..."
Ever watched Mad Max movies? it first came into my mind when I found out about this FPS post-apocalyptic racing-game. It is to be released early September 2011.
You will fight mutants and berserked humans through destroyed ruins and vast deserts. Borderlands crossed my mind too!

Rage is way to massive a game to fit on a handheld device, right? Well, no actually as John Carmack has shrunk it down to fit in the palm of your hand and has it running on iPhones and iPads.
"Once 2011 begins, mankind will only have one more year remaining until….the end of the world. Within mankind’s final year, a huge blow out of highly anticipated games are going to be released. Some are new I.P’s while some are sequels. Some you’ve never heard of while some are more famous than bread on a stick (wait is that even famous?). Gentlemen & ladies (gentlemen first), allow me to introduce to you the most wanted games of 2011!"
Although the holiday season may be packed with big blockbuster releases, a few highly-anticipated games ended up slipping into next year. Here are the top 10 games that were delayed until 2011.

Matty and Creamy from Defcon: Awesome give you the details of their behind the scenes look at Rage and Fallout: New Vegas from E3 this year. And, as always, they manage to throw in a couple of dick and fart jokes along the way.
"After the impressive in-game videos revealed during the E3 (click here if you missed that) I wanted to know more about Rage’s gameplay. Rage is developed by id Software, those who created Wolfenstein 3D and Doom and which hasn’t released a new franchise since 10 years."
Featuring a clean art style, excellent shooting, and an expansive world, Rage may have just enough variety and design polish to separate it from the growing crowd of post-apocalyptic FPSes.
"Id Software’s RAGE is poised to be released sometime next year. There’s a lot of hype surrounding the game, as gamers always have high expectations for John Carmack, his latest game engines their impressive 3D tech. The man who brought us Wolfenstein 3D and Doom provides major releases but a few times a decade these days, so there are plenty of reasons to be excited about his latest project. As confident as people are beginning to feel about RAGE, however, I can’t shake the feeling that the g..."
"The Second part of our 'What the F&%k' of the week, is going to go to Games Workshop. Anyone that doesn't know who Games Workshopis they are the makers of Warhammer, they and uhh, Mythic make the Warhammer 40,000 game. But Games Workshop started primarily with the tabletop Warhammer. But they have filed a lawsuit against Curse a company who operates WarhammerAlliance.com which is a fan site and general gaming news site. "Rage. What a name for a First-Person Shooter video game! Such an emotion, a feeling that beats your stomac. Rage has been the new id Software’s intellectual property since a dozen of years. It’s running with the id Tech 5 engine which is a new version of the mythic FPS engine-creator. It’s a new hope for FPS lovers."
"Rage was announced by John Carmack and iD Software back at QuakeCon in 2007 where it was given a "when it's fun and when it's done" release date. They've since progressed developing the game far enough to give gamers a narrower release date of 2011 for the PC, PS3, and XBox 360."

"Blend Games has today obtained a number of new screenshots for id Software’s highly anticipated Rage. Due for release at some point next year, Rage is set to be published by Electronic Arts on Xbox 360, PLAYSTATION 3 and PC."

They hope by the time they have reached working on the first level, they would use their experience through out the process to make the first level a great experience to hook you in.
Rage is one of the biggest games set to be released soon on PC, 360 and PS3. Set in a post apocalyptic world were mutants and marauders roam the wasteland and the humans are just as dangerous. "Rage is id Software’s latest game which was formerly codenamed Tech 5. John Carmack himself is working quite closely with this title. Initial reports were that Xbox 360 version would be gimped in some fashion in order to publish the game on four DVDs. The PlayStation 3’s Blu-Ray drive has more then enough room for this ambitious title."

"June 24, 2009 (Rockville, MD) – ZeniMax Media Inc., parent company of noted game publisher Bethesda Softworks, today announced it has completed the acquisition of legendary game studio, id Software, creators of world-renowned games such as DOOM, QUAKE, Wolfenstein, and its upcoming title, RAGE. "ID Software was once the king of the first person shooter genre. They started it all with their iconic game Wolfeinstein and later on down the track the Doom series. Rage will be using ID’s new game engine labelled “id Tech 5” and at this stage it will have a mix of the FPS genre along with racing. Not a lot is known about Rage but what we do know so far is that Rage takes place in a post-apocalyptic world similar to the Mad Max movies. Designer Tim Willits revealed that the game takes place ..."
"There's still no official release date, which isn't particularly surprising, but we'd be surprised if we see it before late 2010.
Rage is iD's new post-apocalyptic driving/shooting IP, built on the company's latest technology, and is due out for PC, Mac, Xbox 360, and PS3, at some point in the future. Yes, Mac."
"Willits released a statement to clarify his earlier statements. He did admit that instead of having five or six wasteland environments as originally planned, Rage will now only have two because of the Xbox 360's DVD limitations (one wasteland for each Xbox 360 disc). However, these two wastelands will now encompass all the content from the five or six that were originally planned. So no content has technically been "removed" from the game -- but the Xbox 360's storage limitations did cause id..."
Developper of Rage, Tim Willits said that he and the team are cutting back on the ammount of content in the game, because of the Xbox 360's limited disc storage. The Xbox 360 discs currently allow about 6-8 GB of data, while the PS3 discs allow about 25 GB, and the PC is unlimited. They are hoping to make the game into two discs for the 360 version.
"With this year's gaming harvest already played and beaten and filed away into memory like so many saves, it is time now to look on.
Past the bulbous shores of 2007, far off in the distant recesses of release schedules, lies the gone-golden bounty of untapped potential. And while many may slip their surly bonds and give flight to the year 2009, more still will cement their crusted plastic into delighted hands. Here we mark the prophecy of the PC legacy, a concrete, yet tumultuous hour of re..."
If you've seen the latest images and videos of the upcoming id Software game Rage, then you may have noticed the similarities of the game to the Playstation 3 Exclusive, and Super-Hit title, MotorStorm. Well in a recent interview, Todd Hollenshead and Tim Wllits, told us that these similarities aren't co-incidental, but that they had been influenced by the game in some of the areas.
- For other areas, MotorStorm was an influence, and I was a big PGR3 fan, and of course we have some other guys wh...
