Amazon has revealed several new details about the official strategy guide for the upcoming open-world first-person shooter, Rage on the PC, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.

To much of a surprise, id Software have announced the release dates of their new exciting game, Rage.
For USA, Rage will be hitting the streets on September 13th 2011 and for Europe, Rage will be hitting the streets on September 15th 2011.
Rage is way to massive a game to fit on a handheld device, right? Well, no actually as John Carmack has shrunk it down to fit in the palm of your hand and has it running on iPhones and iPads.

Usually Developers like to start from the beginning and finish in the end, well not with Rage. id Software is taking a different approach, by saving development for the first level last. They hope by the time they have reached working on the first level, they would use their experience through out the process to make the first level a great experience to hook you in.

"Willits released a statement to clarify his earlier statements. He did admit that instead of having five or six wasteland environments as originally planned, Rage will now only have two because of the Xbox 360's DVD limitations (one wasteland for each Xbox 360 disc). However, these two wastelands will now encompass all the content from the five or six that were originally planned. So no content has technically been "removed" from the game -- but the Xbox 360's storage limitations did cause id..."
Developper of Rage, Tim Willits said that he and the team are cutting back on the ammount of content in the game, because of the Xbox 360's limited disc storage. The Xbox 360 discs currently allow about 6-8 GB of data, while the PS3 discs allow about 25 GB, and the PC is unlimited. They are hoping to make the game into two discs for the 360 version.
If you've seen the latest images and videos of the upcoming id Software game Rage, then you may have noticed the similarities of the game to the Playstation 3 Exclusive, and Super-Hit title, MotorStorm. Well in a recent interview, Todd Hollenshead and Tim Wllits, told us that these similarities aren't co-incidental, but that they had been influenced by the game in some of the areas.
