"Like Jack Bauer, Chuck Norris and Neil Patrick Harris rise above the station of mortal men and become legendary, so do some video games. While 2009 was a tough year for the industry, both financially and creatively, that didn't stop a handful of titles from being enshrined into the video game canon."

"I can hear what you are saying to yourself right now, and your cheetos are in the second drawer. (Underneath where you keep your silverware.) That's not what you are thinking? Oh. You are questioning my title with outrage and anger. "Why Hamsterfist you are crazy!" There are plenty of great games released this fall, none of which are disappointing. Now who's the lunatic? You, my dear reader are. But the advertisers and game developers thank you for rushing to the defense..."
"Ratchet & Clank: A Crack in Time keeps the standard mechanics and formula that we know the series for but things are so refined and look so amazing that it doesn’t matter if it’s more of the same. While it would’ve been nice for the series to branch out a bit and change some things up this is easily the best installment in the Ratchet & Clank franchise and it’s a game that fans of the series and PS3 owners in general shouldn’t miss."
"Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time is the concluding installment of the Future story arc of the franchise that began and ended exclusively on the PlayStation 3. Although A Crack in Time may be the last of a lot when it comes to the Ratchet & Clank franchise, it is the first title in the series to contain Trophy support. Luckily, PlayStation LifeStyle has the fans covered with the official PSLS Trophy guide."
What better way to establish a console or game company then through its mascot. Sure not everything needs a mascot but where would Nintendo with out its beloved Mario or Sega all those years ago without Sonic. This may lead one to believe that its absolutely crucial to have a mascot for its success. Sony has tried to find the foundation for one to call their own but have they fail or succeeded?
"Everyone’s favorite intergalactic duo is back in Ratchet and Clank Future: A Crack in Time, Insomniac’s latest installment of the fan-favorite Ratchet and Clank franchise. Ratchet and Clank have once again been tasked with saving the universe from the clutches of the evil Dr. Nefarious. Their journey, which unfolds over the course of about 10-12 hours of an eclectic mix of platforming, puzzles, and gun-slinging action, is some of the most fun the franchise offers."

"My exposure to the Ratchet & Clank series isn't quite as far reaching as some of the hardcore Ratchet fans out there. I dabbled with the PS2 games and played Size Matters quite a bit, but my first real obsession came in the form of Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction. After my first playthrough, I entered a period where no game seemed to appeal to me after finally experiencing Ratchet & Clank's fantastic mix of platforming, gunplay and puzzle-solving. So you can imagine that playing ..."

"For some reason the buzz around the latest Ratchet & Clank adventure started off quite slow but things seem to be amping up now since we're over a month away from the release of the game. We've seen a nice amount of images for the game and brief video snippets but now we have an a nice beefy 7 minute gameplay video which should win over some people who were still on the fence about the latest R&C adventure."

"Ratchet & Clank: A Crack In Time is due for a late Fall release, and from what’s been shown, from the initial teaser trailer to the gameplay coverage, it’s looking pretty dandy from my perspective, but there are some things worrying me. The only problem I have ever had with the mainstream R&C series is that all of the games seem to be exactly the same. Not graphically or in terms of plot focus, but gameplay-wise it has maintained the same structure since the very first game hit the Playstatio..."
E3 really isn't E3 unless a familar furry eared friend shows up, and this E3 certainly is no exception... watch the E3 2009 trailer for Ratchet and Clank Future: A Crack in Time. Whilst the beginning will look familar, be warned... this trailer has gameplay from the game, and it's shaping up to be a killer game...
The extra content for LittleBigPlanet is still coming thick and strong, with no sign of letting up. Many games have made cameo's in the cooperative platformer, Playstation exclusive and not, and Ratchet and Clank appears to be next in line. The sources suggest it is substantial content, likely in line with the very well received Metal Gear Solid expansion pack.

"Insomniac announced Ratchet and Clank Future 2: A Crack in Time earlier this week, and the title continues the tradition of toilet humor in the subtitle. However, 'A Crack in Time' was only Insomniac's second choice for the game. James Stevenson, Insomniac's Community Relations Manager, recently revealed that the developer's original caption for the game was 'Clock Blockers'. Keeping in with Future 2's theme of time travel, 'Clock Blockers' was a bit to risque, for obvious reasons, and Son..."
"The first true next generation Ratchet title came out aroudn two years ago; Tools of Destruction. My impressions, as a big fan of the series, were that it was nice to see that the series hadn’t changed too much from the very original Ratchet & Clank, stretching back more than half a decade ago. However, without any huge changes apart from obvious Playstation 3 intergration, such as the use of the SixAxis control, the series felt a bit stale and as the end credits rolled, I couldn’t help but f..."
Ratchet and Clank Future: A Crack in Time was only announced yesterday, but already a teaser trailer has been released by Insomniac. This trailer shows little in the way of info for the most part, though it reinforces time is going to be a big factor in the game. The real gold is at the end however, when we see the speaker is... a Lombax! Does this mean the race has returned from their exile? Is this one related to Ratchet? Will he be friend or foe? Only time (no pun intended) will tell.
The sequel's announcement was rumoured just hours ago, and would you believe it, the sequel has been confirmed and given a name. Coming this autumn to the stores (yes it's disk-based from what can be interpreted from the article) is the next R&C Game: Ratchet and Clank Future: A Crack in Time. See the full press release below.
"The recent Ratchet and Clank Future Weapon Design Contest “CQMBRHRCFWDCSG” adds much more validity to the rumor. Especially this comment made by James Stevenson on PlayStation.Blog last week:"
