"The other day I had just finished Front Mission: Evolved and I got to wondering what I would play next. I have plenty of games that I have yet to play and yet nothing was catching my interest. I then see the case for Red Faction sitting there, with a nice layer of dust coating it. I remembered that I had a blast the first time I played it and blowing through walls in order to get through levels was awesome. Woohoo! I knew what I was playing. I pop the disc in and immediately get a chuckle at ..."
"Red Faction: Guerrilla takes place in the distant year 2125, but the saga actually began 50 years earlier in the still distant year 2075. That's when a disgruntled miner, a Peter Gibbons of the late 21st century, sparks a work's rebellion that takes down Mars' evil mining corporation. You see, the hero of the game, Parker (no first name given), bought into the promises of a new world and serious profit on the red planet. After all, with Earth's resources depleted, that's where all of the jobs..."
"Game PR gurus often promise things that aren't always delivered in their final games. Often caught in the pre-release storm of hyperbole, hateful buzzwords and excitable press releases, the marketing men commit their games to features or mechanics the developers just can't live up to. They're going to do this by looking at the areas they detailed being "core market, kids' games, family games, the female audience, and online gaming". Note how they made females a separate category.
The main focus is core gaming, which everyone knows is the biggest thing arou...
That's right after many years and numerous rumours THQ have finally announced the third title in the popular series titled Red Faction: Guerilla. The game has definitely been reworked for its next generation debut, not only does the game take place 50 years after the events of the first game but has also made the switch from 1st to 3rd person, even featuring a cover system. The only bad bit of news is we won't see it until 2009
It seems as though so many things happen during conference calls these days. They are like exclusive clubs with their own cliques and whatnot. I think I will start my own conference call titled "Grandmaster J's Talksalot Group on the Phone Thing". Yeah, thats it! Anyhow, THQ's CEO mentioned Red Faction III on a conference call today, and there are plenty of details in the quote section.
