Red Faction

THQ announced last week that they were ending the Red Faction franchise. Overall the series has done pretty well in sales and in reviews. But Red Faction Armageddon didn't live up to the success that Red Faction: Guerrilla generated, but with a few tweaks here and there THQ could have made Red Faction: Armageddon a must buy.

Digital distribution service Impulse has some sweet deals in store this weekeend, particularly World of Goo's 50% discount, and $5 off the wonderful Braid. If you haven't picked up either of these titles, now is the time (unless with World of Goo, like us, you're planning on ordering the new box version)!

They also remind Red Faction: Guerilla is currently available for pre-order at $40, which includes the first two games free.

That's right after many years and numerous rumours THQ have finally announced the third title in the popular series titled Red Faction: Guerilla. The game has definitely been reworked for its next generation debut, not only does the game take place 50 years after the events of the first game but has also made the switch from 1st to 3rd person, even featuring a cover system. The only bad bit of news is we won't see it until 2009

THQ announced that there will be a third installment of Red Faction that is currently being developed. They have not stated what system it will be released on yet or a release date, but is has been suggested to be ready late next year.
