Resident Evil 5 is just one day away. To tide you over until the game's release, Gametrailers have previewed the game ...
"Fingers have been pointed at other aspects of the Resident Evil 5 preview build - including some material from the third chapter which Capcom has asked us not to divulge - but this sequence is the most worthy of censure. Hopefully nothing in the final code will best it, because Resident Evil 5 deserves to be remembered for more than the unpleasantly black-and-white Africa it occasionally paints.
Lost for months - despite its pedigree - in the mushroom cloud that is Guerrilla's PS3 debut, ..."
"Resident Evil 5 is, more than anything else, an evolution of a franchise once rooted in the survival horror genre. Spoken or not, it is a promise to gamers that Capcom can push their latest Resident Evil into the realm of action without losing the scares, the terrors that make the franchise so evocative. It is their stab at making daylight scary.
It was a brief play-through of the game, but what I saw has won me over. I went into the experience thinking that the shift from survival horror ..."
"The Resident Evil 5 demo that came out a little while ago gave the public a taste of what Capcoms been working on the last few years. If youve played it you were probably left wondering whether Resident Evil has turned into a Gears of War-esque shooter fest. Thankfully Ive had the chance to spend a good chunk of time with a preview build of the game, testing the first 3 chapters (which amounts to about half of the game), and it seems to indicate that the elements that folks loved about RE ..."
"If Capcom is so adamant as to keep your tank controls to create a faux suspense level then the least they could do is give you a knock back feature, a la Left 4 Dead. As it stands now you make me stand, shoot, turn around, run, turn back around, shoot, turn around, run, turn back around, ad nauseum."
Preview based on the new demo that came out. The preview covers the storyline so far and the details that are still missing and also the general feel of the gameplay which I would say feels clunky at best.
Now that the Resident Evil 5 demo is available on Xbox Live, people will be wondering if it's worth the download? Here are gamecyte.com's impressions of the demo ... They say it's definitely worth it!

With just over a month until the game's release, gameguru.in have previewed the first two chapters of Resident Evil 5. A few things to note are Shiva's AI (or lack thereof) in the single-player co-op feature, the lack of ammo, and what boss battles will be like. Go to the source for the full preview ...
"Theres a huge sense of confidence about this fifth installment. Capcom have used everything they learned with the previous game to build an even scarier and exciting adventure. The pace of the game is electric and serves to highlight the Resident Evil teams genius. The control method, much criticized, is the perfect device for creating tension. The fact that Chris cannot move whilst shooting is essential to the gameplay. Its those seemingly endless seconds as he reloads and the enemy close..."
Computerandvideogames.com have recently previewed Resident Evil 5, and they answer some questions that fans may have been asking since the game's initial reveal. There will be alot of Wesker involvement in the plot - He won't just be a side-character again. And we can expect some pretty epic battles between him and Chris.
And for anyone who has been hoping that RE5 would go back to it's horror roots (or at least be a little more horror-esque than RE4), it won't. It's an Action game to the ...
OXCGN takes a look at the Resident Evil 5 demo released in Japan only a few days ago. Not yet released in the west, but we've managed to get our hands on some 360 game demo and it sure looks great.
OXCGN staffer runs over the game and seems suitably impressed so far. Slip over to the site and check it out along with some video and pics to gaze upon.
"One of the most highly anticipated new features in Capcoms upcoming Resident Evil 5 is the inclusion of co-op gameplay for two players through the entire story. Second to that is excitement over a new control scheme which is supposed to offer players an experience more akin to an action shooter. Well we got to sample a little of both during a recent Capcom media tour in New York City, and are happy to report that Resident Evil fans have some fun times to look forward to."
Capcom recently help a private event in NY, and GCHD was there to cover it. They were able to spend some time with RE5, and this is their preview of it. Has some nice info about the new alternate control scheme. Short, but solid info found throughout
CVG was able to get their grubby hands on the highly anticipated title Resident Evil 5 and have kindly typed us up a preview.
They had plenty of good things to write, one of them being about the physics engine Capcom is putting in, saying that it adds "great deal to that 'oh crap' atmosphere." They also took about the dreaded zombies, who you'll be trying to fight off all the time.
CVG's only concern is the main one: The "awkwardness" of the game, saying that "it lacks the smoothness o...
If you loved Resident Evil 4, then you will love this news.
If you were hoping Resident Evil 5 would be an upgrade for the series, you may be disappointed.
Justin McElroy of Joystiq got his hands on the demo of RE5 at E3... and he didn't know whether to be disappointed or thrilled. The game looked beautiful and the gameplay was good, but he felt it was almost identical to RE4's gameplay and not the "evolutionary step forward" he (and fans) might hope for.
It seems McElroy isn't the only...
Details for Resident Evil 5's co-op have been revealed, and fans will be happy know it will feature the option jump in/jump out at any time online. Also featured will be the Mercenaries mini-game, some MGS-style moves (wall-hugging and ducking/dodging), and a few other surprises, which you can read below if you don't mind some spoilers.
The game is apparently to be released in 2009, not this year as many had hoped. However, according to Capcom's latest financial report, it will be before ...
