Did you know that 2011 marks the 15th anniversary of Resident Evil? I didn't but it really didn't matter if it is or not. Who cares about how long a game series have been out? Well, you should care because with the 15th anniversary comes a promise for 5 whopping new games coming out in 2011. Check out the trailer below!

The debut trailer for Resident Evil 5: Alternative Edition has been released, giving us a glimpse of the new 2 hour long scenario: Chris and Jill's mission through Spencer mansion that was shown via flashbacks in RE5.

GCHD has released two new gameplay videos for Resident Evil 5. The "Secret Weapons" video shows off several unlockable firearms along with the super deadly Bow that Sheva uses, while the "Boss

The new Resident Evil 5 theatrical trailer was released a few days ago, featuring lots of zombies, lots of mutants, lots of cheesy script, and Albert Wesker spurting pure unadulterated awesomeness. Yep, that sounds like the makings of a typical RE game...
Obviously one of those 'had to be there' things, but the video gives you an idea anyway -- check out Resident Evil 5 as projected onto a seven-story tall building!

The Resident Evil series has been under a lot of scrutiny as of late; about the repetition found in the gameplay. But more than anything else, the concerns players have with the evolution of the story has been massive.
I too have been concerned with the story, and where it could possibly go from Resident Evil 4. That was, until TGS 2008.

If you've been keeping tabs on the latest Resident Evil 5 trailers you would have noticed something rather ... odd. The majority of character and enemy animations are identical to Resident Evil 4. Opening doors, reloading guns, enemy deaths, jumping from ledges, etc are all the same.
Fair enough if Capcom don't want to fix what isn't broken, but there should be at least some improvement in a next-gen game. It's just lazy, otherwise.
Earlier today at the Comic Con that was hosted in San Diego, fans of the Resident Evil series got to see the first trailer of the Resident Evil: Degeneration movie! Resident Evil: Degeneration, which will be a full CG movie, will hit theaters in Japan this fall and will be coming to Blu-Ray and DVD in North America later this year!

E3 2008 has had a massive kick-off today.
Here is one of Capcom's biggest showings at the expo - The latest Resident Evil 5 trailer, featuring some brand new scenes, gameplay and "zombie" enemies, (as well as a guy with some awful voice-acting that will bring fans back to the days of RE1 ... okay, maybe it's not that bad).
Splendid timing, you're just in time for the fireworks show.
