Capcom's 'head of character contents business', Toshihiro Tokumaru, recently speaking for a piece to be featured in Capcom's Investor Relations communication, has revealed the company licensing the movie rights to Resident Evil as they did was "unfortunate".
He implies they made a poor decision in passing over all rights with the deal, thereby losing all ability to use 'any finished product'. As such, "in the future, we'd like to create films where we retain the rights".

Honestly, there's no other way to put it. This tracking week is still well into the holiday season in Japan, and if it were somehow possible, DS Lite and Wii numbers increased. 41 out of the Top 50 are on a Nintendo system, with no 360 showing, and Sony representing the other nine. The PSP continues the have same problem that it had last week. But still, the Nintendo numbers, frankly, are completely and utterly absurd.

Contrasting with Famitsu's numbers, Media Create has the PS3 tracking barely above the Wii. Still notable, but the overall drop is pretty shocking. We can start entertaining various possibilities over what will happen in the next few weeks to these two streams.
