A leaked video showing footage of what many are speculating to be an HD remake has hit the internet. No confirmation has been announced yet, but check out the video before it is taken down.

Don't know about you guys, but this is the one I've been waiting for. This week, Ben "Yahtzee" Croshaw takes a stab (get it?) at Resident Evil 5. In short, he feels this installment takes a lot of what made RE4 a good game and crapped on it.

Check it at the source!

If the other retrospective videos have still left you confused about the Resident Evil storyline, watch this video for the entire RE timeline...

Haven't kept up with the Resident Evil series? Gametrailers gives us a run-down of the RE games that feature both Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield.

Stick around till the end of the video for a mysterious set of numbers... I wonder what they mean? A date, maybe?

"A spoiler-rich re-telling of Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield's survival stories in Raccoon City and beyond."

If you've been keeping tabs on the latest Resident Evil 5 trailers you would have noticed something rather ... odd. The majority of character and enemy animations are identical to Resident Evil 4. Opening doors, reloading guns, enemy deaths, jumping from ledges, etc are all the same.
Fair enough if Capcom don't want to fix what isn't broken, but there should be at least some improvement in a next-gen game. It's just lazy, otherwise.

Earlier today at the Comic Con that was hosted in San Diego, fans of the Resident Evil series got to see the first trailer of the Resident Evil: Degeneration movie! Resident Evil: Degeneration, which will be a full CG movie, will hit theaters in Japan this fall and will be coming to Blu-Ray and DVD in North America later this year!

"Resident Evil 4 is originally a classic GameCube title, and the GameCube was not exactly well known for its aesthetic performance muscle. With the game appearing on the Wii, gamers have been hoping for some graphical embellishments to complement the new Wii Remote gameplay enhancements. Alas, it would appear that Capcom and Nintendo haven’t taken that into consideration when engineering the Wii version."

Unfortunately this isn't up on youtube at the moment so I can't link directly, but here's the advert for the japanese version of Resident evil 4 on the Wii.
