Yesterday images leaked over the internet of the new skin pack for Uncharted 2. Today, Naughty Dog confirmed this on the Playstation Blog and it will be released on Jan. 28th. The skin pack lets you play as Nathane Hale or a Chimera from Resistance2, A Helghast or Sev from Killzone 2 and as Evil or Good Cole and Zeke from inFamous. The pack will be priced at $4.99.
Over the past decade, Sony has been quite active at creating new franchises for their Playstation platforms. Their stable of new intellectual properties are diverse and, more importantly, top notch in quality.
A special treat for The Bender this week. We spend time with the gamer who loves to sue (currently Microsoft, Nintendo, Sony, and Activision-Blizzard), Erik Estavillo. Special guest Raychul Moore (girl gamer, Dan Hsu's better half) joins us with this interview discussing his cases and the guy himself. Listen in at the end of the show for some random thoughts about the interview with Mike and James along with some news blips. Get us on iTunes, through Zune, or download the mp3 here
Resistance 2 was an overall good game. But to the fans of the series felt that the game was somewhat of a failure. It could be from multiple reasons why gamers believe this, its been discussed many times on forums through out the internet. And now Insomniac has responded. Saying they are happy with the reviews for the game, but not happy about how fans felt about the game. And senior community manager James Stevenson said it was like a dog turning on them, and it quite hurt.
"As if the early 2010 schedule wasn't jam packed with amazing exclusives already, Sony is now hinting that they have the end of the year covered as well. Naming a few names you have Heavy Rain, God of War, MAG, Gran Turismo, and a few others heading before and during summer next year, however Sony has been ignoring the Fall line up for some reason. Now we know why."
With the recent leaked images of the Resistance 3 billboard, fans are prepping up for a new Resistance game. But ever since 2, the community has been split. Many say that the changes in Resistance 2 were great, while others say it ruined what made Resistance fun. Shacknews talks about all these changes and how Insomniac can learn from Resistance 2 to make the third installement the best game in the series.
It appears as though Sony may have let the cat out of the bag with this one. Sure it was likely to be coming all along, but should it not have been Insomniac's choice to announce the 3rd title in the Resistance series?
Perhaps it's just a massive mistake, but then again, a little to late to be advertising a game that's a year old?
"Following the introduction of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots to the European PlayStation 3 Platinum range earlier this year, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe have today confirmed a number of titles set to enter the range prior to the years’ end. With a UK Recommended Retail Price (RRP) of only £19.99, these titles are certainly likely to fare well alongside the recent Price reduction and redesign of PlayStation 3 hardware."
We have all wanted them, ever since we played LittleBigPlanet we wanted out own plush Sackboy. ToyCyte tried with action figures, but they got it all wrong. Now Sony has made a deal with Impact to create plush toys, along with many other accessories of LittleBigPlanet.
Alongside that, they will also create accessories for other popular PS3 titles such as Resistance, GOW and Motorstorm.
You know that you're a real Resistance 2 fan when you create your very own Marksman. Well a 20-year old did just that, making an exact replica of the Marksmen. Take a look at the images attached below and go to the source to read a full interview with the creator of the weapon - Izy Cheung.
See some more pictures of the weapon here.
Taking 5 days and 100 hours of blood sweat and tears, one Resistance 2 fan has made a scale model of the Chimeran sniper. The Marksman. The model has a detachable ammo clip, ammo counter and a laser guide.
"I’ve been looking at my Playstation 3 shelf in dismay recently; despite I have a massive roster of amazing games, I have suddenly felt the urge to play some online shooters, so I had a go with Call of Duty: World at War. Don’t call me a bragger, but the online offers hardly any competition, something I learned stacking 17 kills and 0 deaths in a quick TDM at Castle. Killzone 2 was a novelty for an hour or so, but my gripe with that is the difficulty of unlocking every class’s added abil..."
Many companies have used Home to promote there games, and the best way to do that is to create our own Home space. Insomniac announced a while ago that they will be working to create home space's. Now Insomniac has announced that they are bringing a Resistance Home space. It will be released this Thursday and be sure to check out the video after the jump.
"It looks as if we are in for a treat with upcoming Home Spaces from Insomniac Games. This time from the popular franchises of both Ratchet & Clank and Resistance."
"Resistance 2 and LittleBigPlanet are two priceless games without doubt. Though not shifting as many units as other giant titles, they have still drawn in an amazing amount of frequent players. Some reporters even say that LittleBigPlanet holds the title for “game people do not trade in” as it has tons of added value via downloadable content and the like. This article is going to flesh out the replay value of these two games and why they are long-lasting must haves that should be in your c..."
This has been discussed a lot between fans of the series. With many being either in the middle, but there is still a fair share amount of people that are split. Here are five reason's why associatedcontent.com thinks that Resistance 1 was a much better game then Resistance 2. Remember, this doesn't automatically mean that Resistance 2 is bad.
The brand new patch for Resistance 2 has already been released, which adds a brand new game mode and many more. You can read more about that, here, but later today the brand new map will be released on the Playstation Store. And some of you, probably want to get a look at what you will be buying.
It was revealed that information relating to the Resistance 2 DLC and Update would be releasing on March 25th, and they have done just that, and to boot, the update for Resistance 2 has been released today.
So what is in the update and DLC? Well just see below...
DLC:
A interview with Jake Begal, lead multiplayer designer for Resistance 2 has revealed what's coming in Insomniac's upcoming DLC and patch. The patch will contain Meltdown, a old Resistance gametype for competitve, as well as Superhuman, an extra challenging mode for cooperative. The DLC contains some news maps and skins, including females and Ravagers.
According to these rumors there is a ton of things that *may* be happening at GDC. The 40GB PS3 is getting it's price cut down to $299 where as the 80GB is retaining it's $399 price with the inclusion of two games and the PSP is also getting one - it's going to sell for $120, a new Siphon Filter game is supposedly underway and using the Killzone 2 engine (OMG HAX), Shadow of the Colossus Online will be announced, and Insomniac Games may be moving AWAY from R&C as well as Resistance to create ...
Some may have been disappointed by Insomniac's last bit of news but it looks like we'll finally be getting some news on the future of Resistance 2 this coming week as well as at the GDC. Info on future updates as well as downloadable content will be present, and should be available soon after.
"Insomniac Games, the developer behind the popular Ratchet and Clank and Resistance franchises, is teasing some big news for tomorrow, according to their official Twitter account. "Preparing to reveal some news tomorrow about Insomniac...shhh!", their latest update reads. Could it be the highly anticipated announcement of the next Ratchet and Clank game? Perhaps a downloadable episode of Resistance, similar to what they did with Quest for Booty? Or maybe even just some company related news?"

Resistance 2 transports players across the Atlantic to a besieged 1950s America where it builds on Fall of Mans legacy. There will be bigger battles, spectacular landscapes and an even more gripping narrative told from Hales perspective alongside an unprecedented online eight-player co-operative mode in which players meet to tackle specially-designed campaigns together.
"I have to say, it was lucky that the original Resistance: Fall of Man was a launch title, or the series may not have had such a good forecast, but it shifted a lot of units and proved popular, hence why a second was obviously brewing at Insomniac Studios."
Though a game with not many bugs as such, there have been a few issues with trophies not being given when the requirements are met, and then there are some stats related bugs. Insomniac have as with Resistance: Fall of Man continued to support the game and release another patch for the game fixing many of the issues encountered.
Oh and good news everyone...

"Lets not forget about the console wars! There are sale charts, there are fanboys slamming other fanboys data, there are all sorts of ways to decide the winner of the console wars One of them is, of course, checking the exclusive games and thats exactly what were planning to do now. So, the battle is on: PS3 vs. Xbox 360 vs. Wii which console has the best exclusives?"
"It's hard finding a trailer that sticks with you and keeps itself glued to the walls of your memories. Trailers that manage to do such a feat are easily worthy of some kind of media recognition. So in the good spirit of acknowledging awesomeness where awesomeness deserves recognition, Blend Games has proudly put together a list of the Top 10 Coolest Game Trailers of 2008. So without wasting a whole lot of words on a pointless lead-in to the list, you can check out our top ten picks for the co..."
"When you see long-standing publishers take a hit and respond by laying people off, canceling projects and delaying triple-A games, you know something is very wrong. And even though 2009 has a nice line-up of hardcore games that are easily classifiable as big-budget, they could be the last for a long time to come."
Word has been hitting the net that sales for LittleBigPlanet and Resistance 2, have been to put it plainly, crap. However a recent update in the sales department reveals quiet differently. LittleBigPlanet has knocked Call of Duty: World at War off the number 1 selling PS3 game, with Resistance 2 following it at a close third. This seems a far cry from the news that both are falling flat on their faces.
"We look at the top 12 games from several platforms in order to determine which are the Top 12 Overall Games for 2008, and you might just be surprised at the overall winner for 2008 - coming from an Xbox site. OXCGN (aka XboxOZ360-gamer) has always maintained that the staff are gamers - not fanbois. Most have more than 2 consoles and platforms to play games on and simply enjoy gaming period.
So what better way to round off the year than to take a look at what we believe to be th..."

"I have to say, it was lucky that the original Resistance: Fall of Man was a launch title, or the series may not have had such a good forecast, but it shifted a lot of units and proved popular, hence why a second was obviously brewing at Insomniac Studios. A whole year later, and Nathan Hale returns to our Playstation 3s to dish out the hardcore First Person justice, just in case World at War was to real for you."
In what can be described as a Christmas Treat From Insomniac, we will today be given a couple of treats on the Playstation Network. Included in the treats are the following:
Fans of Resistance will be very pleased by this bunch of info released about some of the additions to the series. First off is PSP title Resistance: Retribution, with a likely release date, price and boxart. Next is the upcoming novel Resistance: The Gathering Storm with a release date, price and the final cover art. Finally are the Resistance Comics with a release date, cover art for the first three issues and more general info made available.
And they say Sony has shitty advertising? In a rather interesting advertising campaign in Ireland stories of the Chimera invading America have appeared in real life newspapers the Metro and Herald AM. The story includes vicious stories on the attacks, a scientific analysis on the Chimera and even a letter from the president urging people to band together to face this new threat. Bet you stories of people thinking this real begin within 24 hours.

"Wow. I mean, you expect a sequel to improve on the original in most technical respects, but Resistance 2 looks like being an order of magnitude more entertaining, more frenzied and more imaginative than its predecessor. Of course, Resistance: Fall of Man was a launch title, coded way back when Insomniac probably wasn't sure what the target hardware was capable of and certainly before Sony started pulling its finger out and supplying workable SDKs and libraries."
Waiting for Resistance 2 myself (another 8 days to go for those of you in EU, and just a week for the AU), I can certainly say that as far as I see it, SCEE and Insomniac certainly did 'drop the ball'... though I must say that my views of this are biased by the fact that I just want to play the game and not at all interested in one of R2's biggest competitors - Gears of War 2.
Japanese newssite GPara has Media Create's top thirty software rankings for the week of November 10th to November 16th. This week's top ten is an eye-opener, and is pretty weird compared to other weeks.

While many people were happy about the new ESRB ratings system, it seems there will be a negative side to the new ratings' summaries. Some game summaries (Resistance 2 and Fallout 3, to name a few) detail spoilers and plot twists...
Released in the US and Canada, and due for release in Japan on 13th November and the UK on 28th November, in preperation for the release of the game, Sony have begun to show trailers of the game to attract the Japanese Audience. Watch the trailer at the source.
Found in the co-op mode via Resistance 2, Insomniac - the developer of the game - has given some props to Konami and their famous MGS 4.
"Insomniac Games PlayStation 3-exclusive Resistance 2 continues on in the tradition of its predecessor, serving up scarily intelligent enemy AI and a large arsenal of multi-function weapons. The scale of Earths defense against the Chimeran threat has been upped considerably and the action has moved to the Americas, but the gameplay remains otherwise the same. Unfortunately, Insomniacs push to broaden the scope of Nathan Hales adventure has resulted in a few notable backward steps. Whil..."
A very special week! This is about the third week in a row we've had a killer line-up, so be prepared to make your light wallet even lighter, me thinks.
First there's Quantum of Solace (which received a "passable" IGN review), then NHL '09 for hockey fans, Resistance 2 (in a special collector's edition, too, if you fancy that sort of thing), Valkyria Chronicles (which, conversely, IGN quite liked), and Gears of War 2. Meanwhile DS owners get a couple of very special treats (just after Hall...
Hate games which don't last? Especially First Person Shooters? Then there's another reason to get upcoming title Resistance 2. According to game creators Insomniac it will take over a 100 hours to obtain all there is to get in the offline singleplayer and cooperative modes, as well as roughly 75 hours to max each of the three multiplayer classes online. Equaling up to roughly 400 hours all up, and this isn't even including the competitive multiplayer.
"SCEE has just confirmed to VG247 that a release date for Resistance 2 circulated this morning is correct.
“Resistance 2 will be launching in the UK on November 28,” said a rep.
The game’s date has been the subject of rumour this month, but worry no longer: you’ll be able to have yellow eyes and a 50s gun just like the rest of the world in November."
Those facing the financial strain in the holiday season may be opting to pick and purchase games selectively and carefully based upon internet reviews. Well It is a bad day for you all. Resistance 2 has been reviewed by IGN, and despite the plethora of highly engaging and immersive titles being released, this PS3 exclusive FPS has just been given 9.5/10!
Thats right. ANOTHER game you cannot resist forking out money for. This is a fantastic review and may encourage many to purchase what s...
From what began from the 360 fans, where they gave Little Big Planet pretty much the lowest ratings they can give it, the PS3 owners strike back at the same website but to their beloved Gears of War 2 game, but most of you already know this.
Now another game has fell victim as an act of vengeance from the 360 owners. The highly anticipated FPS (First Person Shooter) Resistance 2.
How will the PS3 fans strike back? Fable 2 is already on a 6.4 user rating although that game is already rel...
"A press release has just been issued by SONY Computer Entertainment Europe and Gamestation concerning a subject close to many peoples hearts; Resistance 2 Beta Keys. And, without further ado, heres the release in full..."
The Resistance 2 multiplayer Beta will be available to play tomorrow. The long wait and secrecy finally cast aside by MyResistance administrator sqweak. Since this site is run by Insomniac, this is pretty official. No details yet but since the Playstation Store is set to update tomorrow I would go have a look.
"The PS3 has an exclusive sci-fi shooter called Resistance 2 due on November 4th. The Xbox 360 has an exclusive sci-fi shooter called Gears of War 2 due on November 7th. Should you view the two as competitors? Gears of War 2 designer Cliff Bleszinski doesn't"
"We're pretty excited to announce that yes, we will be providing additional game play and features if you connect R:R to R2! Here's how it works...
Connect R:R to R2 using a USB cable. Go into the R2 options screen, and select "Infect your PSP!" That's all it takes.
Infected mode lasts until you power down your PSP...

"Resistance 2 is looking to be one of the best Playstation 3 titles this year and expects to be released in early November. However, there is grim speculation that despite its popularity, it may not be able to parry the sales of its Xbox 360 counterpart; Gears of War 2 "
An official list of the trophies to be available in Resistance 2 when it releases later this year has been unveiled. In total there are 40 trophies, 27 Bronze, 8 Silver, 4 Gold and obviously 1 Platinum. 8 of these trophies are secret ones which criteria are not explained. Go to the source to check it out.
"The community crew hops back into the recording studio with several members of Insomniacs audio team for the I Want Your Job! segment. Interested in finding out what kind of improvements went into Resistance 2s music and sound effects? Then you cant miss this podcast, which also features a mystery guest who was heavily involved in creating this games epic tunes."
Locke Webster over at the UGO.com games blog sounds off on his co-op play through experience. One highlight includes his description of a battle with over 100 enemies on the screen at once... Sure, it isn't as impressive as seeing something like that for the first time in Kameo, but still, with bullets flying this game may be close to achieving epic levels of awesomeness.
"Have a look at these brand new Resistance 2 screenshots and we think you'll agree that Insomniac's latest is looking rather nice - if the in-game actions turns out like this, that is.
In some of the shots you can see two players blasting at the alien scum which must be taken from the separate co-op campaign promised, as well as a bunch of shots from the sweet-looking single-player quest."
"Resistance 2 is almost upon us. Among the litany of shooters and other action titles that were all anxiously waiting to be overwrought with this fall, Resistance 2 is making an incredibly strong case for our holiday dollars. Just last week, I went hands-on with all three of the games play modes (single player, co-op, and multiplayer) and Ive just got one thing to say: Whatever complaints you had about Resistance: Fall of Man, youll be hard pressed to feel the same way about this year..."
Resistance 2's singleplayer, co-op and multiplayer were all opened to reporters at Insomniac studios yesterday. And so far the impressions are very positive. All saying the game is getting looking great on all fronts. Everything from graphics, to gameplay, to storyline is a massive improvement from the previous game. And something I thought particularly funny a trophy (unfortunately cut from the game) was revealed where you had to kill someone T-Bagging a corpse.

For those unlucky enough not to get into the Resistance 2 Beta either through a personal invite from Sony or a purchase of Qore there is still another way in. For those who have pre-ordered at Gamestop reports are trickling in that the store is now handing out the codes. Though the Beta won't start for these people for several more weeks.
Being a regular on Insomniac's site MyResistance I got a PM from one of its many moderators. This PM was a questionnaire about many different things on what we do and don't like about Insomniac and what we'd like to see from them in the future. One question in particular caught my eye.
"If Sony put Resistance Retribution on the PSN as a ps3/psp title would you feel more inclined to buy it."
Basically this indicates that Insomniac are at least considering putting Resistance" Retributio...
"Publisher Sony Computer Entertainment America has opened up an online application form for the beta test of Insomniac's PS3 shooter sequel Resistance 2.
Beta access is granted to pre-order customers and subscribers to Qore, Sony's digitally-downloaded video magazine. But for those unwilling to spend money, aspiring players can apply for free access at the Resistance 2 site. Applicants will need their PlayStation Network IDs and must be over 18 years old.

Christmas is almost around the corner, and as with every Christmas, the best games are looking to be released in time for parents to go out and buy their kids games. However, GamerChip who previously stated that there may be too many games being released for christmas, have now put together a list of games that they think will succeed and some that they believe will fail. Lets take a look at a few of them...
We all know Resistance 2 and Gears of War 2 are shaping up to be big titles that are both set to release in early November.
Blend Games, who writes reviews, previews, and other things about gaming, have decided to let us decide which game has the more "appealing" features between the two games for their face-off (Round 2). All you have to do is read through the current list of features for the games, and vote at the bottom!
You can check out Round 1 here.
According to EB Games, (in Canada) the Resistance 2 public beta codes need to be resent because the codes they received we're already expired upon arrival. I got this bit of information directly from a EB Games employee.
Some people have been a little skeptical towards Resistance 2. The graphics displayed in the first screenshots and trailer look a lot better than most gameplay seen so far. But Insomniac in their latest podcast (The Full Moon Show) have said that in the last week alone the textures have significantly improved. And that on complaints from people in the Beta they are going to put more polish on the multiplayer levels. As Insomniac always do graphics last expect a large leap in what we've seen s...
BIG changes are planned for Resistance 2 from the first game, weapon upgrades, new weapons, more lead character emphasis and a whole lot more. And whilst the game is still months away from release, Joystiq have managed to get an interview with Bryan Intihar and a lot of questions about the game have been answered and light has been shed on various parts of the game...
Mark November 4th on you calenders, because on that date Resistance 2 will be released in the US. As for Europe, the release date would be shortly after. Also the open beta with online multiplayer and co-op will be coming out sometime in early October. Click the link to read up on everything you will find in the Collectors Edition, including what skins and trailers.
The Exploding Barrel was at the PAX located in Washington, checked out a few games, decided to talk about them: LittleBigPlanet, SOCOM: Confrontation, and others!
LittleBigPlanet really impressed everyone. TEB notes that the game gives you so much options when designing your levels that it's unbelievable. You can make fiery pits of doom or turn a ordinary car into a rocket! LBP could be one of the first games on the consoles that has quality user-created content.
Next up is SOCOM: Confr...
With the box art finalized details of the goodies included in the Resistance 2 Collectors Edition have finally come into the light from Amazon. Included will be a bonus disk featuring behind the scenes footage, video commentary and a chronology video titled "Twisted History". But wait there's more (can't believe I just said that) There will also be an exclusive multiplayer skin, a art book and even a preview of the upcoming Resistance novel "The Gathering Storm". To top it all off comes a 5.5...
Insomniac wants to reward you for everything in Resistance 2 online, so they've added berserks ("Perks"). But these are more then just your simple perks - they added a little sci-fi twist to them. For instance, one berserk makes you invisible to the enemy, another one lets you see through walls. Ranking up gets you plenty of new berserks, plus there are also many trophies, medals and ranks to unlock.
"When a game is all finished up and burned to the disc that you'll eventually pop into your console, it also needs a couple other things to get it safely to store shelves and into your hands: a box, an instruction manual of some sort, and, perhaps most importantly, a good cover to not only set the mood but wrangle in potential gamers as well.
One game that's going to need some sort of cover for its release later this year is Resistance 2. Or, more specifically, the Collector's Edition of th..."
Leipzig didn't exactly offer all that much in terms of new content for Resistance 2. But luckily a private presentation with community director Ryan Schneider at Insomniac reveals some Intel sure to please long time fans. Among other things the claim that maps would 4 times larger than ones in the original game and there would be over 70 different arenas available. But by far the best bit was a new weapon, a nifty little gun called the Splicer which shoots razor blades at your enemies with go...
Brand new Resistance 2 trailer from Leipzig. In Resistance 2, Nathan Hale finds America under the same Chimera attack. He joins a group of super soldiers to fight the Chimera invasion. The game will have 8 multiplayer co-op with a story of its own and will support 60 people online. Click the link to view the trailer
"If you're a member of the PlayStation Underground, you might have been selected to join an early private beta for Resistance 2, which -- as we've been told -- many lucky gamers have already downloaded and are currently playing. However, this doesn't mean that everyone who had plans to join the beta can get in at this time.
If your golden ticket is through Qore, you won't be able to join the fight. It looks like you'll still have to wait for the scheduled "late September" date which is for ..."
Those who owned and played the original Resistance: Fall of Man may be in for a special treat when playing its upcoming sequel, when in a talk with James Stevenson Kotaku's Jim Reilly asked whether they may be any bonuses from having a save file from the original Resistance, and while James said he couldn't confirm anything they definitely hope to include something, much like how the old Ratchet and Clank games used to work.
The popular online Playstation magazine has just released it's second issue but already big things are planned for the third. The most notable about it is an invite to the Resistance 2 multiplayer Beta, to start in September. Considering the tight lid Insomniac usually keep on their games this is a rare opportunity and would make the issue worth it for this all on its own.
So admittedly, E3 2008 was a disappointment for all this year, but that isn't to say that there weren't some great games on show. Resident Evil 5, Gears of War 2 and Resistance 2 all made an appearance, but was it enough for them to claim the title of Best of E3 ?
In Fall of Man, Resistance had a conspiracy story behind the scenes that could only be read in secret documents placed throughout stages, or transmissions would be heard from the comm units of dead Black Ops soldiers you stumbled along the way.
The Project Abraham website address was shown discreetly in Resistance 2's E3 trailer. It consists of a couple of obscure videos that take place in hospital, not much is explained, though obviously something is wrong. Besides the videos there is al...
With Resistance 2 slated for a release sometime in the coming months, Sony gave us another shocker - Resistance will be coming to the Playstation Portable. Called Resistance: Retribution it takes place after the events of Resistance: Fall of Man. More details on the game as they are announced by Sony/Insomniac.
The game will be released on the PSP in Spring 2009.
Couple of screens for the PS3's Resistance 2 have popped up - have a look. Is it just me or does the second look like BioShock if it wasn't underwater? Maybe I've got BioShock on the brain..
Resistance 2 is classified as a sci-fi shooter revolving around the Chimera forces invasion of America. The game is due out this fall.
The two gaming heavyweights go toe to toe this coming November when Resistance 2 and Gears Of War 2 are due to be unchained. How do they compare? Find out in this article which gives you a detailed run down of the features of each and compares the latest gameplay footage.
The annual E3 Media & Business Summit, known as E3 is coming up soon between 15-17 July. There will be new games and announcements, but that's not all! Major game producers will be spreading big news, so be sure to take a look.
Gamespot have listed the games they're most anticipating and what will be seen at E3. The list includes the following: "Lego Batman", "Resident Evil 5", "Resistance 2", "Saints Row 2", "Soulcalibur IV", "Spore" (yes Spore!)... see the source for more.
"Want to get into the Resistance 2 beta? One place to start is the next issue of Gamepro magazine which, in addition to having a little Resistance 2 wingding, is also the home to some beta access keys. They're not just giving them away, unfortunately. You just have a chance to win one. How many are they handing? Not sure. We're guessing at least 60. But that's just a guess."
Every since the first Resistance 2 teaser was shown way back on April 11th, fan's everywhere have been waiting for the day the first gameplay footage and details of the games plotline would be revealed.

Phil "Game 3.0" Harrison has moved on, but the PS3 developers are still there and it looks like they haven't forgot his teachings. Christopher Grant, a blogger for Joystiq, took a handful of upcoming PlayStation titles out for a little test drive at Sony's Pre-E3 Judge's Event in LA and the one thing he noticed that he wrote down frequently was: community website. Motorstorm: Pacific Rim, Killzone 2, and plenty of other games will have community websites when they are released. It looks like ...
"Multiplayer bedlam got you down? Endless cross-map sniping bumming you out? Insomniac Games honcho Ted Price feels your pain and he's doing his best to fix some of things that often plague the best of multiplayer shooter matches.
He has to. Resistance 2 online play will support up to 60 players on one map, and without some way of sorting through some of those problems the matches just wouldn't be any fun to play.
If you really don't care about the confusion of such a mighty match, if yo..."
Some pretty awesome new screenshots for Resistance 2. Resistance 2 is the third game from Insomniac Games. The company has been able to release a game every year so far for the PS3. The new Resistance game takes Nathen Hale to America where the chimera invasion has just begun. You will fight in the countryside and through US cities. The game will feature 8 player online co-op and support 60 people online.
Well looks like I'm dominating the Resistance 2 news market, today's item is three new screenshots of what appears to be the multiplayer map labeled Scotia. Set in Northen California the screens are from the same map in the gameplay teaser shown yesterday, which is good considering the bad quality and fast pacing of the demo.
"Resistance 2 came out for its first public viewing at Sony's PlayStation Day in London, and we took the opportunity to try it out. While only a limited multiplayer demo, what we played left us with plenty to be excited about. Considering a good six months' worth of development time remains to polish and perfect things before this fall's release, the game already looks impressive, easily equaling the standard of the original. That amounts to no small feat for a game supporting 60 players runni..."
It's looks like we may be getting a taste of Resistance 2 gameplay well before the preset date on the 13th of June . In the latest podcast of their Full Moon Show INSOMNAIC have revealed a Resistance 2 demo will be playable at the Sony Playstation Day two days from now. And while most of us certainly won't be able to see it, expect lots of smuggled video's and impressions on in the web within 24 hours.
Resistance 2 is possibly one of the most anticipated PS3 exclusives hitting the system this year. And now the first teaser trailer is available for viewing by all. Behold and enjoy
A few weeks ago a document was discovered which was apparently a schedule for PSN content. This list included such items as Warhawk: Operation Broken Mirror (already released), a update for Lair, a Resistance 2 trailer and a mystery item titled Ratchet: Quest for Booty. Due to some digging several of these items have been confirmed and as such the rest of list can be somewhat trusted.
"The increasingly popular GameTrailers TV has lined up several awesome exclusives for this Friday's episode, including the debut of the first Resistance 2 trailer.
We're hopeful that we'll get to see the game in motion, but it hasn't been confirmed if the teaser trailer will actually include any in-game footage. Regardless, we can't wait to see what the guys at Insomniac have in store.
If you're not excited by yet another shooter (albeit one of the biggest of 2008), there will be plent..."
Thats right, GamePro User's have all chosen Metal Gear Solid 4 as there most anticipated game for the Playstation 3 at the moment with a staggering 57.7% of the vote. Quite incredible that. In second place though follows Gran Turismo 5, third and fourth see the sequels of Resistance 2 and Killzone 2 whilst staggering in for fifth spot is LittleBigPlanet.
In addition to that I assume this is only for Playstation 3 exclusive games as many of you are probably pondering.. Where is GTA:IV! I t...
No PS3 owner has not heard of Resistance. And if you remember when the game was launched, a commercial was airing on TV at the same time. And in this commercial it showed a real life Chimera skull in the white room with the Playstation 3. Now the skull is on sale on Ebay, for a wopping 3,000 dollars. Man I should of made one of those in my woodshop class.
"According to the latest Sony Computer Entertainment UK release schedule PlayStation 3 gamers will have plenty to keep them occupied this autumn, with three massive titles hitting stores.
Scheduled for release in September Killzone 2, with Insomniac Games' launch title sequel, Resistance 2, pencilled in for a November release.
The titles are likely to go up against some heavy hitters from Microsoft, including Gears of War 2, Fable 2 and Banjo."
What could make Home better? When developers go the extra mile to make some amazing stuff that is all in Home. Resistance Fall Of Man will have a interactive "Home". Much like the Insomniac Musuem found in the R&C games. You will be able to view levels that never made it into the game, listen to hidden radio messages that will give more detail on the story and much more.
Uncharted takes it a step further. There will be "Homes" that are designed as the levels that are found in uncharted. Le...
Recruiting workers in the game industry isn't that hard to do, as for many it's a dream job, however if by chance you've created a company and need some help that you can't seem to find, well then turn to Insomniac since as well as making games, they seem to know how to recruit... watch and see how working at Insomniac is like, and let me tell you, I sure would love to work there.
A Bungie developer has heard about Resistance 2 having a 60-man multiplayer mode, and he isn't wondering if it's possible, since he knows that it is, but the question that he's asking is "How will they stop it from feeling like your running around in a chat room". Of course, he didn't say it in as few a words, but you can hear his words clearly from the Podcast at the source, or simply read them below...
"Resistance 2 will feature the Chimera in a major onslaught at the San Francisco Bay Bridge and other American landmarks.
Insomniac games have finally started talking facts. In a major feature of the Official PlayStation Magazine UK they have revealed a number of exciting new details. Resistance 2 continues where the first game finished, with Nathan travelling to Iceland, the base of SRPA (Special Projects Research Administration.) When he gets there he discovers that there are others human..."
"It begins where the first game ended: Literally! The final, post-credits epilogue from Resistance 1 serves as the opening cinematic for this game. (SPOILER WARNING) Nathan Hale's mysterious captors fly him to Iceland, but their vehicle is quickly shot down, leading Hale into the first level and eventually to where most of the game takes place."
"A trusted source has let us know that Resistance 2, the sequel to the PS3 launch title, is ready for the pre-Alpha testing stage. According to our source, Sony is going to be hiring a ton of testers in January to put Resistance 2 through a stress test.
Resistance was one of the best PS3 exclusives, and without a doubt were sure Resistance 2 will be on everyones wish list when a release date is announced."
