"Resistance 2 is looking to be one of the best Playstation 3 titles this year and expects to be released in early November. However, there is grim speculation that despite its popularity, it may not be able to parry the sales of its Xbox 360 counterpart; Gears of War 2 "
Locke Webster over at the UGO.com games blog sounds off on his co-op play through experience. One highlight includes his description of a battle with over 100 enemies on the screen at once... Sure, it isn't as impressive as seeing something like that for the first time in Kameo, but still, with bullets flying this game may be close to achieving epic levels of awesomeness.
"Resistance 2 is almost upon us. Among the litany of shooters and other action titles that were all anxiously waiting to be overwrought with this fall, Resistance 2 is making an incredibly strong case for our holiday dollars. Just last week, I went hands-on with all three of the games play modes (single player, co-op, and multiplayer) and Ive just got one thing to say: Whatever complaints you had about Resistance: Fall of Man, youll be hard pressed to feel the same way about this years fo..."
Resistance 2's singleplayer, co-op and multiplayer were all opened to reporters at Insomniac studios yesterday. And so far the impressions are very positive. All saying the game is getting looking great on all fronts. Everything from graphics, to gameplay, to storyline is a massive improvement from the previous game. And something I thought particularly funny a trophy (unfortunately cut from the game) was revealed where you had to kill someone T-Bagging a corpse.
Insomniac wants to reward you for everything in Resistance 2 online, so they've added berserks ("Perks"). But these are more then just your simple perks - they added a little sci-fi twist to them. For instance, one berserk makes you invisible to the enemy, another one lets you see through walls. Ranking up gets you plenty of new berserks, plus there are also many trophies, medals and ranks to unlock.
The two gaming heavyweights go toe to toe this coming November when Resistance 2 and Gears Of War 2 are due to be unchained. How do they compare? Find out in this article which gives you a detailed run down of the features of each and compares the latest gameplay footage.

"Multiplayer bedlam got you down? Endless cross-map sniping bumming you out? Insomniac Games honcho Ted Price feels your pain and he's doing his best to fix some of things that often plague the best of multiplayer shooter matches.
He has to. Resistance 2 online play will support up to 60 players on one map, and without some way of sorting through some of those problems the matches just wouldn't be any fun to play.
If you really don't care about the confusion of such a mighty match, if yo..."
"Resistance 2 came out for its first public viewing at Sony's PlayStation Day in London, and we took the opportunity to try it out. While only a limited multiplayer demo, what we played left us with plenty to be excited about. Considering a good six months' worth of development time remains to polish and perfect things before this fall's release, the game already looks impressive, easily equaling the standard of the original. That amounts to no small feat for a game supporting 60 players runni..."
"It begins where the first game ended: Literally! The final, post-credits epilogue from Resistance 1 serves as the opening cinematic for this game. (SPOILER WARNING) Nathan Hale's mysterious captors fly him to Iceland, but their vehicle is quickly shot down, leading Hale into the first level and eventually to where most of the game takes place."
