Ever since SEGA estimated that Resonance of Fate would be released sometime near Final Fantasy XIII, RPG fans have been hoping the company would change their minds and give the game a more suitable release date.
Unfortunately, that isn't going to happen.
SEGA have officially revealed the US release date for Resonance of Fate is March the 17th.

The Japanese version of Resonance of Fate (also known as End of Eternity) was released in Japan yesterday, so here is the trophy list for the game. (No doubt the Achievements list will be the same).

Maybe it makes more sense to people who own the game, but the trophies are kind of... confusing.

Although the recently released Resonance of Fate demo was positively recieved by many sites, there were some gamers who felt it was too difficult to play.
The game's director Takayuki Suguro has now apologized for the demo's difficulty, explaining that a tutorial mode had to be cut from the demo as they were unable to spend too much time on creating it.

"SDTV-friendly text - Yes, that means if you don’t have a HDTV yet, you will actually be able to read the text in this game. Models are all made to take advantage of HDTV sets however, this just means that you will see less detail in the models on standard def sets, a given really.

High music production The game’s soundtrack will be recorded with a full orchestra and be delivered in 5.1 surround sound. Music will change depending on how you are doing in battle.

Today SEGA's mysterious Resonance of Fate (End of Eternity in Japan) count up clock came to a stop. It looks like it was counting up to the game's Japanese release date. The clock stopped at 1/28 meaning Resonance of Fate will see a release on January 28th.

Also, the developers have released a batch of screenshots, showing some of the customizable outfits that will appear in the game.

Tired of countdown clocks on websites? Well SEGA is trying something a little different - a "count up" clock on their Resonance of Fate site. It will be interesting to see what it's counting up to.

I guess creating Twitter accounts for fictional characters is the 'in' thing now? SEGA recently created a Twitter account for each of the three main characters in Tri-Ace's upcoming RPG Resonance of Fate. The Twitters are all written in Japanese, and at the moment there isn't alot of interesting content or new info on the game. Famitsu recently released a bunch of Resonance of Fate screenshots, showing us that players will be able to change the characters' appearance, including clothing, hair color, armor and even accessories. So if you're not happy with some of the more generic looking characters, at least you'll be able to spice them up a bit :)

If you haven't been happy with the length of many games this generation, then Resonance of Fate might be the game for you. It's a JRPG so naturally it's going to be long, but according to the makers, a "standard" play-through will last between 50 and 80 hours, while a complete play-through will last you over 150 hours.

Square Enix have published quite a few of Tri-Ace's games in the past, but this time around Tri-Ace have decided they want SEGA to publish their upcoming RPG Resonance of Fate (known as End of Eternity in Japan). And there's a reason for it. According to Tri-Ace developer and RoF's director Takayuki Suguro, "SEGA has a more open attitude towards accepting new RPG ideas than Square Enix, we'd decided to have SEGA release End of Eternity."

Here's some good news for Western JRPG fans.
It has been confirmed that the upcoming PS3/360 RPG Resonance of Fate will be getting a simultaneous release in America and Europe.

Sega has announced that the tri-Ace developed JRPG, End of Eternity for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, will make its way to the US and Europe in Spring 2010. The game will see a name change though, as it will be released with the title of Resonance of Fate over here in the West.

Last week, Japanese RPG developer tri-Ace teased a new RPG announcement. While the game's teaser site still displays a countdown, an early ad leak from this week's issue of Weekly Famitsu displays the game's title and publisher. The game's title is End of Eternity, and shockingly, will be published by Sega, not Square Enix.

The website shown on the ad, EoE.sega.jp, redirects to tri-Ace's new RPG site, with the countdown set to expire this Friday.
