"Though some elitists may try and salvage their reputation by claiming it has never happened to them. Every one has played at least one terrible game in their life. At the same time, a large community of Achievement-Enthusiasts will play just about anything to hear that sacred “Ba-Bloop” from their TV."
Though it has been known for quite some time now that Led Zeppelin is not going to be putting their songs in a rhythm game anytime soon (yet Puff Daddy is okay to lend the music to), Jimmy Page and Jack White are both letting their views known about these type of games.
Note: Jack White has been featured in a music game before. I'm not referring to the upcoming Guitar Hero 5, but in fact that Disney game "Ultimate Band"
"With the “Rock” in the title referring directly to the music genre, the track list accordingly reflects this. Less of the Pop spectrum is included in Rock Revolution – though it does still have a few tracks obviously designed to please the masses – and the majority is the well-known end of all things Rock; Foo Fighters, The Killers, KoRn and FallOut Boy being predominant entries, alongside artists such as System of a Down, Soundgarden and Heart. However, all of these tracks are of course cove..."
"Music game specialists Zoë Mode have given a first glimpse inside the audio recording and post-production facilities in their new Brighton premises. Fully equipped for surround mixing, music mastering and post-production, with multiple interconnected recording and production spaces, the high-end facilities underline Zoë Modes commitment to high production values."

"Last week we delivered buyer's guides to inform our readers what to get the gamer in their life this holiday season. Today we bring you a list of ten games that should, in no circumstances, be placed under the tree for your joystick junkie. This list of games was actually harder to construct than a list of must-haves for the simple fact that there were a ton of games this year that we should avoid at all costs. Each game represented below is a mockery of why we came to love games in the first..."
"Dylan Beale, of award winning Constantine and Rogue Ops fame, arrives at Zoë Mode as Senior Producer. Following the expansion into London, Zoë Mode has appointed Dylan Beale to take the reins on the studios forthcoming titles..."
"Ah, Rock Revolution. Its Konamis answer to Guitar Hero and Rock Band, both of which are actually rip-offs of Konamis own GuitarFreaks. I know, its complicated. Either way, Rock Revolution looked to be anything but, selling a paltry 2,900 copies since its release on October 15th.
Of those 2,900 copies, exactly two were for the Nintendo Wii.
Two.
Two."
"Konami has held some key autumn releases back until Q1 2009, including new Lost in Blue and Castlevania instalments for Wii and DS.
Those heading to early next year are Lost in Blue: Shipwrecked! (Wii), Lost in Blue 3 (DS), Castlevania: Judgement (Wii) and Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia (DS)."
After playing the 360 version of Konami's Rock Revolution that is supposed to compete with World Tour and Rock Band 2, UGO was not even close to being impressed. To start it all off, there are only forty songs to rock out on, while the two other music games contain more than half of that.
The drums are supposed to the main part of the game. They feature six pads and a kick. That may seem like a good thing, but the design of the drums is so bad that the drummer will have to look down to mak...
At its 2008 Holiday Press Event in Manhattan, video game publisher Konami announced it's Fall/Winter 2008 lineup for North America, bringing games to all game systems and release dates.
"At this time, Konami will only be releasing Rock Revolution with a drum peripheral; there are no plans for a guitar peripheral, said Mondona Akhazan, an associate product manager at Konami. Initially, when we started making the game, we designed it to be more of a drum-focused game. We have our competitors out there that created games that are focused more around the guitars, so with this we really wanted to pay homage to the drummer.
However, Konami reiterated that competing titles..."
After the E3 showing of the first two, and the announcement of the third newcomer (Rock Revolution) gamers will be frustrated as to what their next rythem game purchase should be. Should they stay loyal to their Guitar Hero or Rock Band? or perhaps try out this new guy Rock Revolution.
Either way - Popular Mechanics goes through a short video review of each with a decent write up to boot.
