Making its return after 15 years, Rocket Knight on XBLA, PSN and Steam provides gamers a nostalgic blast from the past when mascot driven 2D side-scrolling platformers ruled the industry. While there is a lot to like about Rocket Knight the price tag is its own worst enemy. Check out Eric Galaviz’s (of spawnkill.com) review of Rocket Knight and see why some might be willing to drop $15 for the downloadable title while others may not be so willing.

"Rocket Knight is a reboot of the Rocket Knight Adventures series which started on Sega Genesis but also came to other systems such as the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. Can Rocket Knight for Playstation Network bring new hope to the series or will the cult classic just move back under the radar?"

"Priced at $15 (or 1200 Microsoft Points) on the Xbox Live Arcade and Steam, Rocket Knight has a steep entry price. There are times when Rocket Knight shines and is reminiscent of the good ol’ days of Saturday morning cartoons. On the other end of the spectrum, it’s a shallow, one-off title that once it is completed, will fade from memory."
