A few days ago, KOEI hosted a massive "Samurai Festival" to promote the Wii title Samurai Warriors 3, celebrate samurai history and culture, and show audiences "the true spirit of Japan".
Approximately 80,000 people attended the event, which featured some of Japan's biggest celebrities, including singers, actors, comedians and professional wrestlers.

Tecmo Koei recently posted a 1.84 billion yen ($20.4 million) loss in its third quarter. Strangely enough, they blamed the loss in money on the poor sales of Wii title Samurai Warriors 3.
The company had hoped for the game to be a major title for the Wii, even getting Shigeru Miyamoto involved with the project and hiring Japanese superstar GACKT to sing theme songs, voice act and appear in commercials for the game. The full theme song for Samurai Warriors 3 has finally been released and it is AMAZING.
The song (entitled Setsugekka -The End of Silence-) is sung by popular Japanese singer, GACKT. It is a performance that even GACKT boasts as one of his best.
In a recent interview, he said it is a song that captures "the feeling of thinking of someone who is lost to you, and the heartbreaking and painful emotions behind that... I wanted to create a mixture of elegance and evanescence."

The videos also feature the two theme songs sung by the always-lovely Japanese artist GACKT. ZAN is an up-tempo pop rock song, while Setsugekka - The End of Silence is a gorgeous ballad.

Before Super Smash Bros. Brawl was released, there was a rumor floating around the 'net that Takamaru (from The Mysterious Murasame Castle) would appear in the game, and many fans were excited about the prospect of playing as Takamaru in the popular fighting game.
