Now, this is how you promote a game!

A few days ago, KOEI hosted a massive "Samurai Festival" to promote the Wii title Samurai Warriors 3, celebrate samurai history and culture, and show audiences "the true spirit of Japan".

Approximately 80,000 people attended the event, which featured some of Japan's biggest celebrities, including singers, actors, comedians and professional wrestlers.

And, of course, popular Japanese singer and actor GACKT (who sung the theme songs for Samurai War...

Before Super Smash Bros. Brawl was released, there was a rumor floating around the 'net that Takamaru (from The Mysterious Murasame Castle) would appear in the game, and many fans were excited about the prospect of playing as Takamaru in the popular fighting game.

Well he might not have been in Brawl, but Takamaru will appear as a bonus character in the Samurai Warriors 3 Murasame castle mini game. Take a look at his spiffy new makeover here.

Like with Capcom's Monster Hunter 3, Nintendo is providing a hand to Koei in promoting the company's upcoming hack-and-slash, Sengoku Musou 3 (Samurai Warriors 3) which is headed for the Wii on November 19th in Japan.
