5th Cell, the developer of titles such as Scribblenauts and Drawn to Life, has delayed it's next title, Hybrid, until next year. Hybrid is a third person shooter...
"Bad games. They flood the market each month, causing impressionable buyers unforgivable frustration when sixty of their hard-earned dollars vanish without much “pop” or “zing” to show for it. Most retail titles nowadays ensure 10-15 hours of fresh entertainment, and that’s not counting role-playing games, which can tally two or even three times that number. So when gamers leave a large percentage of those hours untouched and instead throw down the controller in defeat, it’s worth asking how d..."
Both Scribblenauts and Super Scribblenauts have their pros and cons. Both of 5th Cell's puzzle titles offer a great deal of innovation, but this innovation is marred by a handful of flaws in both games. Ultimately, which game is better?

"Every so often we get a game idea that manages to break away from the otherwise endless stream of tried and tested formulae. These are the kinds of games that don't just present a unique feature or a fresh approach on an old idea but instead give us an entire experience unlike the rest. Scribblenauts concept is to allow the creative minds of the gamers to flourish by letting them create almost anything they want to complete the levels and it's an idea that excites any gamer. After all, who co..."
"This week, we found out that everyone’s favorite three-horned dinosaur, Triceratops, was really the similar-looking Torosaurus at an earlier stage of growth...This controversy leads us to reflect on some of the video games containing the dino species, with the developers being so yesterday (literally) and thinking it was the one-and-only Triceratops."
"Following the rumours last week, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has officially confirmed plans to create the next Scribblenauts for Nintendo DS, a follow-up to the hit videogame where players use their imagination to write any word, bring that object to life and use it to solve puzzles. Set to be available in Autumn 2010, the follow-up game expands the innovative elements from the acclaimed first title with many inventive new features, including an adjectives system that allows player..."
"Scribblenauts is the type of game I should be head over heels for. The game is a testament of what can be done with video games, definitively proving that not everything has been done before. Better still, the game oozes with personality, has an infinite amount of replay and can be enjoyed by just about everybody. This is the type of game that I usually champion. So why is it that I love the concept so much, but just can't get into the game?"
The staff over at Spawn Kill have come up with some not so run-o-the-mill game of the year categories and have finally chosen their picks for the year that was 2009. Check it out and let us know if you agree or disagree!
""...it only makes sense to pay a little respect to a few of the games that may not have fit within some of the ubiquitous standard-fare categories. That doesn't mean you won't see some familiar names on this list but you might see a few unexpected games as well. So here's an unofficial list of some of the most original games of 2009.""
Christmas is right around the corner, but there are still a few shopping days left. What if you still have to get a gift for the casual gamer on your list? Not sure what to get if it doesn't involve epic RPG quests or shooting zombie hordes? Don't worry: Spawn Kill has you covered with their guide for games and accessories for the casual gamers on your lists.
"It happens every year. Both journalists and hardcore gamers flip out over a video game, giving it numerous awards and high scores. Then we sit down to play this supposed virtual epiphany and have no idea what they're talking about. Welcome to the most overrated games of 2009, a collection of massively hyped and underwhelming titles that never deserved so much unnecessary praise, even from us. With that, let's begin."
"With the usual deluge of video game releases in the third and fourth quarter, combined with the continuing sagging economy, gamers may have an even harder time this holiday season coming up with the cash for all the games they want. In case you're hoping Santa (or, as the case may be, Hanukkah Harry) will bring you a sleighful of goodies this year, here's a little help making up those lists of yours."

Scribblenauts is a 2D Side Scroller with some pretty unique puzzles that will keep you entertained for quite awhile. Developer 5TH Cell has made sure the gaming experience for players would be different and more exciting than other puzzle games you might of played.
A game that caught the attention of many is Fifth Cell's Scribblenauts. When it was shown off at E3 people were blown away by the freedom it allowed since players could write almost anything and then see it immediately in the game. That combined with the unique puzzle mechanics made the game a highlight release for the Nintendo DS but is it worth checking out or did it try to do too much?
"5th Cell had a lot of expectations to meet, a lot of hopes and dreams to fulfill in the hearts of gamers everywhere. With an incredible amount of buzz surrounding this little DS title at E3, including the famous NeoGAF post by Feep describing using a dinosaur to defeat robot zombies, Scribblenauts has been described as creative, ingenious, and inspiring. Of course, with this much hype comes the possibility of disappointment. In the end, is Scribblenauts what we all had expected? For the most ..."
"Scribblenauts is quite possibly one of the most unique games to be released this year, the game is simple yet it’s scope is beyond any other game before. Overall the game actually delivers on its ambitious promise but there are a few aspects that need to be improved for this title to become a true classic."
Before Scribblenauts' release, Mike of Mike Got Game made a few negative comments about the upcoming title's gameplay in another blog. Because of the massive hype surrounding Scribblenauts, people weren't pleased (some were quite furious). Now that the reviews are out, it seems that that the observations were right! Mike Got Game gloats about the turn of events.
"Prior to its release, Scribblenauts received a lot of buzz not because of sheer marketing muscle, but because of its completely original and utterly astonishing concept: you solve puzzles by conjuring anything you can think of, as long as it’s not a proper noun, lewd, or alcoholic. It gets better: the conjured behave as they’re expected to be—pandas chew on bamboo; mice eat cheese but strangely ignore caviar; vampires disintegrate when exposed to the sun—you get the idea. When judged by ambit..."

"Fear not mistaken pants-over-trouser-wearers, as Scribblenauts developer, 5th Cell, has gone out of its way to localise the UK release of Scribblenauts to include words specifically for the UK market. Faucets, popsicles, sidewalks, diapers and, of course, the meaning mess that is football and soccer, will confuse British Nintendo DS owners no more..."
"I was able to get my review copy of Scribblenauts yesterday. Because of this, I haven’t touched any other game for the past 24 hours. For the most part, I’m impressed because almost everything I input actually works. As you may have heard, you can literally call on God, summon a generic costumed superhero, or ride a time machine just for the heck of it."
"Nintendo’s launch party for Scribblenauts was this Sunday and the Lvlone crew was there to get a chance to buy the game early, meet the creative minds behind the game and eat some Scribblenauts themed cake.
Nintendo only does launch parties for really big games like Wii Sports Resort, and Pokemon titles. However the big N decided to change things up a little and throw a party for a brand new IP and a very original one at that. Nintendo really went above and beyond to promote Scribblenauts,..."

The upcoming DS game is incredibly ambitious, boasting a mind-boggling 10,000 different objects that can be used within the game. All you have to do is type in the word and presto, you get the item. It looks incredible on paper. Execution, however, is another matter."

Have a look at Adam's take via the source.

God. Albert Einstein. Albert Einstein running away from God. Death. Stegosaurus. Crowbars that put you into Gordon Freeman's Hazard Suit. Longcat. Tacgnol. Keyboard Cat.
They're all in Scribblenauts. Just type/write them in and they will appear. And they're all there to help you. Nintendorks has footage of these popping up for your assistance.
This is the best game to show up at E3 and everyone else may as well go home.
(The Kraken always wins.)
