"Wwhat will follow is a top 10 list of the best Japanese RPGs, shining examples of the JRPG genre done right. These games are proof that the JRPG genre is not, as a whole, stagnant and rigid, as these games in particular have addressed most, if not all, of the flaws that other articles points out as being supposedly endemic to the JRPG genre. The games on this list are just plain awesome, and the fact that they are JRPGs becomes irrelevant in the face of their quality. Not all Western gamers a..."

With the recent release of the PSPgo and digital downloads sold alongside physical copies of games, fans of most genres will find a game they can play on the go. Here is a list of the top five PSP games I recommend for gifts."

Some are self explanatory, but there's an explanation for each recommendation for those new to it. Anyways, please post comments on the site itself so we know how you feel about the review. There's n...

Today, Altus released the official trailer for Shin Megami Tensei: Persona. Public Relations
Specialist, Crystal Murray, had this to say:
“Nothing quite says ‘this game is coming out soon’ better than an epic video trailer, complete with exciting music, transitions, and descriptions of what’s in the game. The excitement surrounding the trailer’s release is tempered somewhat, as we’ve just learned that a few fans were injured by errant spinning cityscapes. We’re still looki...

However, an alternate report of the event from Dengeki Online failed to mention anything about the news.
Let's face it. Without the XSEEDs, Atluses, and Working Designs of the world, playing these odd games from Japan in English with no real Western backing would be a wet dream. We would at the mercy of the giant publishers and their wholly-established brand names, and at the general blandness of video games today. The mainstream US publishers have stopped to consider what Japan has to offer, and even the big publishers from Japan only localize their bigger games.
But these are the compani...
