Sega's classic RPG, Shining Force, is now available on the iTunes App Store for just less than three dollars. For die-hard SEGA fans and those wanting to find out what the fuss is all about, Shining Force is another worthy compliment to the many SEGA games coming to the mobile space.

GameDaily gives its own take at which RPG style is superior in the categories of the classic RPG, the MMORPG, the tactical RPG, the action RPG, most emotionally engaging (contains FFVII and Mass Effect spoilers), and the overall winner.

Though you might not agree with everything stated, it is an interesting read on a topic that continues to spur the interest of RPG fans.

In this week's issue of Weekly Famitsu magazine, it has been announced that Sega will be publishing a new game in the Shining Force series: Shining Force Feather for the Nintendo DS. The developer for the game is Flight Plan.

The game will be a strategy RPG with a top-down isometric view, and will be completely in 2D. Field movement will be turn-based, and not locked into a grid. Battles will take place in side-view, and will feature more action-oriented elements, reminiscent of tri-Ace...
