"Silent Hill: Homecoming is the highly anticipated first instalment in the hugely popular Silent Hill series to arrive on the Current-Generation. Developed by Double Helix, the game was originally titled Silent Hill 5 - the late change to a subtitle rather than a true numerical addition to the series raising a question of Konamis faith in the US studios adaptation of the series, but with the UK release only one month away; those questions will very soon be answered."

Jim Reilly of Kotaku recently got his hands on a copy of Silent Hill: Homecoming and was vastly impressed, claiming that the Silent Hill series "might be coming back on the upswing" after the disappointments of Silent Hill 4: The Room and Silent Hill: Origins.

Recently Kotaku got their hands on a demo of Silent Hill: Homecoming and they left feeling impressed.
MTV.com has similar feelings towards the game's demo. Though they mention a few things that may disappoint SH fans, including the abundance of references to the Silent Hill movie and other Western gore flicks...

Kotaku have recently got their hands on a demo of Silent Hill: Homecoming and they were impressed.
Although many themes seemed to be directly ripped-off from the SH movie (which some fans might be disappointed with), the gameplay, atmosphere and graphics seemed to impress the Kotaku guys.
