X-Play recently got their hands on the upcoming horror Silent Hill: Homecoming. Here they discuss the upgraded combat, weapons, some of the bosses, updated camera views, and how the game differs from previous Silent Hill games.

Silent Hill: Homecoming's release is just a few weeks away, and here is the latest gameplay video showing protagonist Alex dispatching the various monsters that he will encounter throughout the game. It seems the "sexual" theme is back again, with quite a few monsters resembling the nasties that James came across in SH2. That may worry fans of the series, let's just hope there's a reason for it!

GameTrailers has put up a preview of the fifth game in the Silent Hill series titled Silent Hill: Homecoming, noting that this time around, an American developer (The Collective) is handling the game. They also mention that the new blood is "faithful to the Silent Hill esthetic".

There has been quite a bit of worry surrounding Silent Hill: Homecoming. Fans weren't happy that parts of were apparently based off Hostel, the graphics were sub-par, and the game was being handles by a new team.
But this video, showing the first 10 minutes of the game, might be enough to dispell those fears. What do you think? Is it enough to regain the hope that Silent Hill: Homecoming will be a step-up for the series?
Originally called Silent Hill 5, it was just renamed to Silent Hill: Homecoming. Gamesradar has just released three new videos of the game.
The first video just shows of an Erie looking building and mostly just showing of the environment. The second video shows off the main character fighting some monsters and the third video is a cinematic cut scene.
