The PlayStation Move library is pretty small and desperately needs more content. With the recent port of Dead Space: Extraction on PlayStation 3, it's obvious some Wii games could work well if moved over to Sony's console. These are the top five games that should be ported from the Wii to the PlayStation 3 with full Move support.

"Elementary my dear readers, I go into games with Low Expectations! Yeah, it doesn't sound like the best course of action, but many times I end up pleasantly surprised and end up really enjoying the games, probably more than if I had played them expecting greatness. I'm going to key you into a few of these games I expected very little from and how they ended up being some great titles and how one of them even made its way into my favorites."

"In the UK, our friends at LOVEFiLM had wanted to poll their customers and users to what the best video game to movie adaptions were in preparation for this summer's blockbuster Prince of Persia starring Jake Gyllenhaal. So out of all the movies, which adaption topped the list? Silent Hill!?!?"

This time 'round, Yahtzee takes a look at the Silent Hill 1 remake Shattered Memories. As some may know, Silent Hill 2 is one of his all-time favourites (favourite?), so listen up!

"In light of some decisions recently made by third party developers, I believe I have some ideas as to why it's hard to sell hardcore third-party titles on the Wii.

So what do you do? The Wii doesn't have all the technical features of the 360 or the PS3. So how can a third party make a Wii hardcore title that can compete with 360 and PS3 hardcore titles? EA actually had a pretty good idea with Dead Space: Extraction. HD console owners who like Dead Space would be interested. Plus, there ar..."

Comparison between the North American and recently-revealed Japanese box arts of the Nintendo Wii survival-horror game, Silent Hill: Shattered Memories.

"I recently completed Silent Hill: Shattered Memories for the Wii (expect the full review in the next issue of ONM, out on 12 February). What impressed me most wasn't the graphics or the gameplay - both of which are fantastic, by the way - but the storyline. It's the closest I've come to playing a movie on the Wii, and the plot's full of twists, turns and surprises."

Despite Capcom and SEGA claiming that mature games don't sell well on the Wii because there is no audience for such titles, Silent Hill: Shattered Dreams's lead designer Sam Barlow believes there is a very different reason for the lack of sales...

"It isn’t shocking that Silent Hill: Shattered Memories and Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers failed to make the NPD top 20 list for December video game sales. Unfortunately though, both titles have sold under 50,000 copies thus far."

Icrontic's ever-jovial CB Droege brings us this week's interesting new releases in video gaming. This week, the Wii Virtual Console brings the NES classic "Blaster Master" and Konami unleashes Silent Hill: Shattered Memories.

Every since it was first announced, fans have been wary of Silent Hill: Shattered Memories's re-imagining of the original Silent Hill. So is it a worthy addition to the series, or is just a disappointment? Gametrailers takes a look...

"While rumors have been going around all day regarding Silent Hill series composer and producer Akira Yamaoka leaving Konami, OSV has received official confirmation from Yamaoka himself. This is huge news for the gaming industry, as Yamaoka has been one of the biggest critics of the Japanese gaming industry. It will be interesting to see what he does if he decides to work freelance in the gaming industry."

A 35 year old man, known only as "Jan H.", recently caused a blackout at the Sophia Hospital in the Netherlands because he thought he was in a Silent Hill game.

While no one was seriously hurt during the 45 minute blackout, Jan caused a great disturbance in the hospital. Elevators became stuck and workers had to manually respirate the patients in the intensive care unit.

Later in court, Jan claimed he had suffered a psychotic break in the hospital which led him to believe that shutting...

Konami have confirmed that Silent Hill: Shattered Memories will be released in February 2010 in Europe.

America will likely see the game at the end of this year or start of next year.

"Much like 2007's Silent Hill: Origins, the PSP version of Shattered Memories is quite capable of conveying an eerie, unsettling experience, even on a platform that might seem ill-equipped for the survival-horror genre in comparison to home consoles. The Wii re-imagining of Konami's PS1 classic is faithfully represented on Sony's portable, with only a few framerate hiccups tarnishing a very impressive visual representation.

Recreating the Wii version's moody ambiance isn't the port's only m..."

Silent Hill fans may have noticed that Silent Hill: Shattered Memories, the "re-imagining" of Silent Hill 1, looks very different than previous games in the series. Each Silent Hill game has used a similar concept for the creepy "Otherworld" dimension that players are thrust into in each game: A dark, warped, rust and blood covered hellhole...

ohhh....icky!

But Silent Hill: Shattered Memories has a new style for the "Otherworld". Instead of blood and rust, there is snow and i...

During E3, Konami's Tom Hewlett, producer on Silent Hill: Shattered Memories, talked about Silent Hill: Shattered Memories and how it sticks to the roots of the survival-horror genre. He believes that the horror genre has become too action-oriented and many game developers are losing touch of what made the survival-horror genre so unique...

"Remakes are cheap, easy, nostalgic and give younger gamers a chance to play a classic they missed due to being in the womb. After major gaming conglomerates (mostly Capcom) realized how much money they could make more and more have been popping up these days.

Within the next year gamers will see a good number of remakes; check out a handful that we can’t wait to get our grubby little paws on."

Silent Hill is one of the scariest, most disturbing game series in existence. So you would think it would only appeal to a niche audience, right? Not according to Silent Hill: Shattered Memories producer Tomm Hulett. He believes that, if all types of people watch horror movies at the cinema, then why shouldn't they be able to play horror games too? Shattered Memories will still stay true to the series' roots, but it will also be targetted at a more general audience.

Depending on how you play and your "psych profile", the game will change and adapt both minor and major parts of the game, so it will always be "playing you as much as you play it"...

Destructoid was able to play the Wii version of Silent Hill: Shattered Memories at E3 earlier today and gave us their impressions about the game so far. Most of the demo took place in a cold and lonely house. With no weapon, the enemies had to be avoided by hiding behind beds and when they do capture you, apparently they just give you a nice hug until you throw them off or die.

The next "non-remake" in the Silent Hill franchise was shown off at E3 with a whole load of new screenshots which can be found on the game's PSP profile below. For the Wii Screenshots look no further than below...

"Before we get started, if you've not already checked out IGN's exhaustive first look at Silent Hill: Shattered Memories, do it now. Our hands-on played out across the exact same demo level we've already covered in earnest so, this time around, we're concentrating on how it plays. And, guess what? It's Silent Hill but not as you know it. Sure, it's draped in the series' classic trimmings – that all pervasive fog, fuzz, crackle and industrial clang of Akira Yamaoka's unmistakable soundscapes – ..."

Silent Hill: Shattered Memories is already impressing gaming sites, and now it's time for gamers to get a look at the new SH1 "re-imagining".
Here is the debut trailer...

In a recent interview with Destructoid.com, Konami's Tomm Hulett discussed the upcoming Wii game Silent Hill: Shattered Memories. He explained why the game isn't an exact remake of the first SH game, why there will be no combat in the game, the problems with recent survival horror games, and why we won't be seeing Pyramid Head this time around.

Kotaku recently got a glimpse of the new Silent Hill: Shattered Memories demo, and noticed a few very interesting things about the game. It is not a remake of the original Silent Hill. Instead, it's a complete make-over.
The gameplay has been reworked from the ground-up, with 50% of the game being action (though Konami didn't go into any details on the fleeing aspect), which may disappoint or delight long-time fans, depending on your perspective. And the Wii's interactive features will also...

"Konami have announced they are to bring the renowned Silent Hill series to Wii as Silent Hill: Shattered Memories heads to the Nintendo system for the first time in Autumn. The game, a clever reimagining of the now out of print first Silent Hill title, will also be released for PlayStation Portable and PlayStation2 at the same time."

"VG247 understands that UK developer Climax is working on a Wii remake of an the first Silent Hill.
Konami has declined to comment on the talk.
Few specifics are known as yet, but apparently motion control’s been included for torch functions.
The first Silent Hill, designed by Keiichiro Toyama, was released for PlayStation in 1999."
